Returns for second track and cross country seasons for the Ducks in 2006-07 and could compete in 800m, 1,500m and/or 3,000-meter steeplechase. The two-time league veteran ranks fifth all-time for Oregon and second among returnees in the steeplechase based on her 2006 season best (10:53.95). One of two Duck returnees with Dana Buchanan in 2007 that placed top 10 in the Pac-10 steeplechase in '06. Competed in four cross country races in her first fall cross country season for Oregon in 2005. The former multiple Oregon high state meet scorer transferred to UO for winter term 2005 from Boise State, and redshirted the 2005 indoor and outdoor track seasons.
2006-07: Pac-10 Qualifier (Steeplechase). Competed for Oregon during the outdoor season after she studied abroad during the fall and winter terms. Ran season best in Pac-10 Championships steeplechase for second straight season (13th, 11:00.65) after she entered the meet ranked 16th on the conference season best list. Led UO in the steeplechase and ranked sixth in the 1,500m. Altogether, competed in six races outdoors for UO (800m 1, 1,500m 2, steeplechase 3). Personal / Season Bests: Outdoors - 800m - 2:26.97, Pepsi Team Invitational, Eugene, Ore. (4/7/07); 1,500m - 4:40.08, Oregon Twilight, Eugene, Ore. 2005-06: Pac-10 Qualifier (Steeplechase). Was one of three Ducks that finished top-10 in the Pac-10 Championships 3,000-meter steeplechase (10th, 10:53.95). Also broke 11:00 in the Oregon Twilight the week before (third, 10:58.45) ? a 17-second then-personal best. Overall, competed six times outdoors in the 1,500m (2), steeplechase (3) and 5,000m (1). Did not race indoors. In fall, raced the opening four cross country meets of the season. Scored for team in season-opening Pier Park Preview as its fifth finisher and also placed fifth overall (19:09). Placed seventh on squad in next two races ? the Willamette Invitational (50th, 18:31) and Pre-NCAA Invitational (165th, 22:54.3). Stood eighth on team in her final race of season, the Pac-10 Championships (73rd, 24:11). Personal/Season Bests: Outdoors ? 1,500m - 4:40.16, Western Oregon Twilight, Monmouth, Ore. 2004-05: Redshirted indoor and outdoor track seasons, and competed unattached in several meets. Outdoors ran a 1,500m personal best in the Oregon Twilight in early May at Hayward Field (fourth, 4:39.98). Owned 800 outdoor season best of 2:19.82m from Pepsi Team Invite Mini-Meet in early April.
Before Oregon: Competed two cross country seasons (2003, ?04) and one indoor and outdoor track and field season at Boise State (2004). On the track, made appearances as a freshman in the prelims in the WAC Championships 800m indoors (ninth, 2:16.86) and outdoors (11th, 2:14.52). During outdoor season, she ran her season and personal best to win the Oregon Invitational Day Session (2:13.98) in late April ? a time that ranked her 13th in the league heading into the WAC finale. Also owned an outdoor best in 1,500m of 4:44.31 from early April that ranked second on the team and 20th in the conference. Indoors, she owned regular season 800m and mile bests of 2:13.98 and 5:15.08, respectively, that ranked her second on the team in both. In cross country as a sophomore in ?04, she ran in the team’s top four in four meets, including second in the Bob Firmin Invitational (second overall, 19:32.66), third in the WAC Championships (28th, 19:02.01), and fourth in the BYU Autumn Classic (26th, 20:20.4) and Chile Pepper Invitational (104th, 23:25.3). As a frosh harrier in ?03, she ranked fourth on the squad in the WAC Championships (41st, 19:36) and fifth in the West Regional (173rd, 24:14).
Prep: One of state’s top middle distance threats in 800m and 1500m with four, top-four finishes as a junior and senior. Capped prep career in Oregon 3A state track championships as senior in 800m (fourth, 2:17.02), 1,500m (third, 4:40.96) and 4x400m relay (ninth-prelim, 4:13.89). Also ran multiple events in state finale as a junior (800m, third, 2:19.37; 1,500m, second, 4:42.94; 4x400m, second, 4:01.49) and freshman (4x100m, second, 49.94; 4x400m, first, 4:01.80). Owned district 800m record of 2:17.02 and claimed three titles in that event, two in the 1,500m, one in the 400m, and four in the 4x400m. Her Henley squad twice won team titles. Owned other prep bests of 58.9 in the 400m and 4:40.0 in the 1,500m. Ended career with three all-state honors, and was an all-conference first team pick in soccer as a senior. Coach: Ron Smith.
