One of talented top jumps additions for Ducks in 2006-07. Will vie for Pac-10 and regional invitations in the long jump, triple jump and high jump, and may compete in the heptathlon. One of Canada’s top junior athletes, was a two-time qualifier for the World Youth Championships.
Prep: Two-time member of Canadian World Youth Team (2003 and ’05) in the long jump and heptathlon and was chosen as team captain in 2005. Claimed second in triple jump in 2006 Canadian Junior Championships (12.00m. 39-4 1/2). Competed in 2005 World Youth Games in the heptathlon (20th, 4,249). Placed fifth in 2004 Canadian Junior Championships heptathlon (4,170) and was named to 2004 British Columbia Provincial Team in long jump, triple jump and 4x100m relay. Three-time provincial heptathlon champion (2004, ’05 and ’06) and also a one-time triple jump provincial champion (2005). Named school’s female athlete of the year in 2006. Valedictorian of her senior class. Also competed for Comox Valley Cougars Track Club. High School (Coach): G.P. Vanier ’06 (Tony Dickson, John May, Laurier Primeau).
