A 2003 West Regional discus qualifier and still maturing multi-event thrower, hiked best in discus and hammer bests last season by more than four and three feet respectively. Team’s top returnee in the discus (151-9) and hammer (162-6) based on her 2003 personal bests. Among Pac-10 returnees, ranks 12th in discus based on last season’s bests. All-time for Oregon ranks eighth in hammer (162-8).
2002-03: Pac-10 & Regional Qualifier (Discus). Closed season with West Regional appearance (27th, 140-9) after entering meet seeded 32nd. Altogether, competed in discus in seven meets with two past 145-foot line. Earned regional invite on last throw of regular season in Cardinal Qualifier with her personal best (sixth, 151-9). Threw hammer in six meets with two past her preseason best (158-10) - Oregon Twilight (fourth, season best 162-6) and Willamette Six Way (second, 160-2). Indoors, ranked second third on team in weight throw (49-11 1/4), and threw shot put only once in Husky Preview (19th, 34-0 1/4). Pac-10 Track & Field All-Academic Honorable Mention.
2001-02: Ranked fourth on team in hammer (158-10) and discus (147-5) and sixth in shot put (38-9 1/2). Competed in eight hammer competitions and topped 150-foot in line in four meets, including a season best in the Pomona Pitzer Invite (33rd, 158-10). In seven discus competitions, topped 140-foot line in her last four meets with her season best in the Oregon Twilight (fifth, 147-5). In the shot put, she competed twice, and won the Lane Open (PR 38-9 1/2). Indoors, claimed shot put season best in UW Quad (21st, 37-4.
2000-01: Ranked fifth on team in discus (141-9) and sixth in hammer (150-3) with season bests from Oregon Twilight (placing seventh and fourth, respectively). Added fourth against Washington in discus (128-3). Also turned in solid efforts in Willamette Invite (discus, fifth, 129-7; hammer, seventh, 145-6) and Oregon Invite (discus, 13th, 133-5; hammer, fourth, 144-5). Indoors, ranked sixth on team in shot put (36-10 1/2) and weight throw (40-10 1/4).
Prep: As a senior in state 4A championships, finished second in discus (126-5) and 11th in shot put (35-10 1/4), and took fifth in the discus (129-0) as a junior. At 2000 season's end, ranked fourth in state in discus with season best of 136-11. High School (Coach): Century '00 (Richard Hoxmeier).
