Versatile jump performer who will likely focus on triple jump again in 2006, and also competed in high jump and long jump as a prep. Will need to clear mark of 49-5 3/4 (15.08 meters) outdoors in 2006 to net regional championship invite.
2005-06: Did not compete in any indoor or outdoor meets for squad.
2004-05: Did not compete outdoors for Ducks. Indoors, competed in triple jump three times and ranked second for Ducks with winning mark from McDonald’s Collegiate (46-1 1/4). Personal/Season Bests: Indoors – Triple Jump - 14.05m (46-1 1/4) (I-PR), McDonald’s Collegiate, Moscow, Idaho (2/5/05).
2003-2004 (Redshirted). Utilized transition year to collegiate level and competed unattached in several meets. Outdoors, triple-jumped 44 feet or longer in all three appearances, with his season best in the late-season Oregon Twilight (second, 44-10 3/4 w:1.2). Indoors, competed three times. Personal/Seasonal Bests: Outdoors (Unat.) - Triple Jump - 13.68m (44-10 3/4), Oregon Twilight, Eugene, Ore. (5/1/04). Indoors (Unat.) - 14.02m (46-0), Bodybuilding.com Invitational, Nampa, Idaho (1/31/04).
Prep: Owned prep bests of 45-7 (triple jump), 6-4 (high jump) and 20-9 (long jump). Two-time triple jump state champion, and also scored as senior in high jump (third) and long jump (fifth). Helped squad place take second in state finale as a junior and third as a senior. Four-year track letterwinner, also lettered two seasons as a center in basketball. High School (Coach): Malta '03 (Tad Schye).
