Returns for a final season of indoor eligibility only. Wrapped up outdoor career in 2003 in West Regional finale, and led Ducks in both the shot put and discus during the season.
2002-03: Pac-10 Qualifier (Shot Put/Discus): Led team in shot put and discus. Earned first Pac-10 invite in discus (166-6) but did not compete due to squad’s 24-man roster limit.
2001-02: One of busiest throwers last season, doubling in shot put and discus in five meets with a sixth discus effort to go with his collegiate hammer debut. Opened year with wins in Montana-Weber State Triangular (shot put, 51-7; discus, 151-0) and also competed in first hammer competition (eighth, 126-4). Also added wins in Washington Dual in shot put (52-6 1/2) and Oregon Twilight (52-6m), and runner-up placings in Washington Dual (discus, 150-11) and USC-BYU Triangular (shot put, 53-5; discus, 159-2). Indoors, led Ducks in shot put (52-5 1/2) and ranked second in weight throw (44-11). Topped 50-foot line in all four shot put appearances, with two past 52-foot mark -- Mountain Pacific Championships (14th, 52-5 1/2) and UW Quad Classic (14th, 52-1 3/4).
2000-01: Ranked second on squad in discus (160-3) and third in shot put (54-10 1/4). Competed in five meets with two shot put efforts over 54 feet ? Oregon Twilight (seventh, 54-10 1/4) and Oregon Invitational (fourth, 54-5 1/4). Also eclipsed 52 feet in Oregon Preview (second, 52-7 1/4) and Texas Invite (eighth, 52-9 1/2) outings. Bettered 154 feet in all three discus appearances, including season best in Oregon Invitational (third, 160-3). Pac-10 All-Academic Second-Team selection. Indoors, threw shot put season best of 51-11 in Mountain Pacific Championships and placed 13th overall.
1999-2000: Competed in five meets as a true freshman and showed solid progressions in both shot put and discus. Threw a pair of season bests in Cardinal Invite in the shot put (fourth, 53-0) and discus (sixth, 156-3). Opened career against Huskies with solid debut in discus (third, 150-5) and shot put (fourth, 52-0).
Prep: Placed in 1999 4A state meet in both discus (second 165-6) and shot put (third, 54-5 1/2). Track team MVP and captain, and football team captain. High School: Century ’99.
