Could compete in various distance events for Ducks in track and field. Two-time Oregon prep 4A state placer on track as a junior, and led his team in the state cross country finale as a junior and senior. Ran for same Canby High School that produced five-time Duck All-American Eric Logsdon.
2005-06: Competed in four outdoor track and field meets in 800m (2) and 1,500 meters (2). Raced mile once indoors and did not compete in cross country. Personal/Season Bests: Outdoors ? 800 meters ? 1:55.89, Oregon Twilight, Eugene (5/5/06); 1,500 meters ? 4:02.62, Pepsi Team Invitational, Eugene, Ore. (4/8/06). Indoors ? Mile ? 4:19.26, Husky Collegiate Invitational, Seattle (2/11/06).
2004-05: Attended the University of Montana as a freshman in the fall for cross country, then transferred to Oregon for the winter and spring seasons. Did not compete for the Ducks indoors and outdoors.
Prep: Made 4A state appearance on track as junior in 2003 in 1,500 (sixth, 3:59.32) and 3,000 (eighth, 8:44.85) and in 3,000 in ?04 as senior (DNF). In 2003 cross country state meet, finished 29th as a senior (16:15) and led his Canby team to seventh place. Also paced his team as a junior (43rd, 16:40) to 13th place in ?02. Lettered cross country two seasons in high school, and also lettered one year in soccer, and competed in wrestling another season as a 135-pounder. High School (Coach): Canby ?04 (Millbrooke).
