Has improved her speed and strength each year into a dependable Pac-10 scorer in the 800 meters, and now will chase her first NCAA invite. Ranks 10th all-time in the 800 for the Ducks with her junior season personal best from '05 (2:06.91), and is less than a half-second (.47 to be exact) from sixth-place ranked Brenda Bushnell (2:06.17, 1984). In 2005-06, is team’s top returnee in the 800 and 1,500 based on prior Duck bests (2:06.91 / 4:38.04).
Fall 2005: In cross country, stepped up in NCAA West Regional with perhaps her finest cross country race as team’s fifth finisher (43rd, 21:34) as Ducks chased an NCAA bid without a top runner. Scored in squad’s fourth slot in the Pier Park Preview (fourth, 19:08). Crossed finish line as the UO’s sixth runner in the Pac-10 Championships (50th, 22:57), Pre-NCAA Invitational (148th, 22:40.8) and Willamette Invitational (38th, 18:19). Pac-10 All-Academic Honorable Mention.
2004-05: Pac-10 Scorer (800). Took fifth in Pac-10 800 final with .98-second personal best (2:06.91) that put her 10th all-time at UO, and helped 4x400 take fifth placed (3:42.09). Missed advancing to West Regional final at Hayward Field in Eugene by one place and .96 seconds in prelims (ninth, 2:08.61). Entered season with prior best of 2:07.89, and was within a second of that time in five of her six outdoor event appearances. Also ran 400 once outdoors and won Oregon Preview (57.42) and two 800s indoors. In fall, put together the most consistent cross country season of her collegiate career, and raced in Duck top six in all four of her meets - including three in the team’s top five. Ranked fourth for squad in West Regional (74th, 22:24) and Pre-NCAA Invite (171st, 22:56), fifth in Pac-10 Champs (57th, 22:46) and sixth in Roy Griak Invite (196th, 24:15). Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention. Personal/Season Bests: Outdoors ? 400 ? 57.42, Oregon Preview (3/19/05); 800 ? 2:06.91 (PR), Pacific-10 Championships (5/15). Indoors ? 2:09.94 (I-PR), Husky Classic (2/12/05).
2003-04: Pac-10 Scorer (800). Finished season strong with league points in 800 (fifth, 2:09.40) the day after she claimed the last time-based qualifying spot in the prelims (third-heat, 2:10.88). Ended season with appearance in West Regional final (eighth, 2:10.46) after she ran a .19-second personal best in the prelims (seventh-overall, 2:07.89). Altogether topped her preseason outdoor best (2:12.87) in all seven contests, including another sub-2:10 effort in the Oregon Twilight (first, 2:08.08). Added another event win in 800 in Pepsi Team Invite (2:10.15). Showed maturity with first ever appearances in 1,500 in Oregon Preview (fifth, 4:38.89) and Oregon Invitational (ninth, 4:38.04) to meet the Pac-10 mark (4:40.14) in each. Indoors, ran five 800 races, and topped prior indoor best (2:15.29) in her last three races - the Pac-10 Invitational (17th, 2:12.77), and the Mountain Pacific Championships (final, eighth, 2:13.96; prelim-7th, 2:12.03). Personal/Seasonal Bests: Outdoors - 800 - 2:07.89 (then-PR), West Regional, Northridge, Calif. (5/28). 1,500 - 4:38.04 (PR), Oregon Invitational, Eugene, Ore. (4/24). Indoors - 800 - 2:12.03 (then-I-PR), Mountain Pacific Championships, Seattle (2/25).
2002-03: Competed in eight contests (200-1; 400-2; 800-5). Pulled within two seconds of the Pac-10 800 standard (211.14) with outdoor season best in Oregon Invitational (third-twilight section, 2:12.87). Also broke 2:14 in Oregon Twilight (third, 2:13.02) and Pepsi Team Invitational (fifth, 2:13.42). Ran outdoor season bests in 200 and 400 in Long Beach State Invite (fourth, 25.67; third, 57.14). Indoors led squad in 800 (2:15.29) and ranked second in 400 (57.84) with indoor bests from the Mountain Pacific Champs and Bodybuilding.com Invite, respectively. Personal/Seasonal Bests: Outdoors - 800 - 2:12.87 (then-PR), Oregon Invitational, Eugene (4/26). Indoors - 800 - 2:15.29 (then-I-PR), Mountain Pacific Championships, Boise, Idaho (2/21).
2001-02: Redshirted outdoor and indoor seasons as she returned from a femur stress fracture from the end of cross country season. Did compete unattached late in outdoor campaign in Oregon Invitational (13th, 2:20.21) and Oregon Twilight (sixth, 2:19.24). Personal/Seasonal Bests: Outdoors - 800 - 2:20.21, Oregon Invitational, Eugene (4/27). Indoors - DNC.
Prep: Oregon 4A state champ in 2001 in 800 (2:13.38) as senior, and added duty on sixth-place 4x100 (50.00) and eighth-place 4x400 relay (4:04.16). As junior, won state 400 (56.79) and took seventh in 800 (2:16.97). Won district 400 and 800 titles as both a junior and senior. Also a four-year letterwinner in soccer and once in cross country. High School (Coach): Klamath Union '01 (Mike Henon).
