One of three Duck returnees (and two seniors) in 2007-08 that competed in open 400m in Pac-10 Championships in 2007 and ran on record-setting relays during the season. Her preseason outdoor best of 54.81 is only .40 seconds from UO’s 10th-fastest time all-time (54.41). Indoors, needs time of 56.17 or faster to join Oregon’s all-time top-five list in the 400m. Ran on indoor school record 4x400m relay (3:37.48) as a junior in 2007, and an outdoor relay that ranks third all-time for UO (3:36.07). Transferred to Ducks for 2007 campaign after she competed two seasons for San Francisco State and was a two-time conference 400m champion. As a California prep, was a state qualifier as a junior (4x100m) and senior (400m).
2006-07: Pac-10 Scorer (4x100m, 4x400m). Entered season with outdoor 4000m best of 54.96, and bettered that mark in her second outdoor race for UO in the Clif Bar ASU Invitational (54.81). Was one of three Ducks that competed in the Pac-10 Championships 400m (17th-prelims, 55.78). Also in postseason, ran on 4x400m relays that placed top eight in the Pac-10 and West Regional Championships for the second straight season (eighth / sixth). Led squad outdoors in 200m (24.82w) and ranked top five for UO in 100m (fourth, 12.56) and 400m (third, 54.81). Indoors, led squad in the 200m (24.95). Ran on 4x400m relays that broke the old indoor school record (3:44.74) in three of their four appearances (3:44.55, 3:38.92 and 3:37.48), and the latter one placed second in the Mountain Pacific Championships and ranked 14th nationally on the NCAA provisional list. Altogether, competed in nine individual races outdoors (100m 1, 200m 3, 400m 5) and three races indoors (60m 1, 200m 2). Before Oregon: Competed for San Francisco State in 2004-05, and 2005-06. Advanced to NCAA Division II Championships in 400m and was top-six seeded. Won California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) league 400m titles as a sophomore (season best 54.96) and freshman (57.41) and was an All-CCAA honoree. Owned a freshman season best of 56.2 in the 400 meters.
Prep: Competed for El Cerrito High School as a junior and senior, and Fairfield High School as a freshman and sophomore. As a junior, placed seventh in 2003 in the California state meet in the 4x100m (seventh, 47.10), and qualified for the state meet in the 400m as a senior in 2004 (22nd-p, 57.35). Ran on Alex Van Dyke Track Club's fifth-place 4x400m relay (3:45.44), and also competed in the 400m preliminaries (57.38) in the 2003 Junior Olympics in Miami. Owned prep bests of 25.1 (2006) and 56.8 in the 200m and 400m, and her 400m FAT best was 54.96 (2006). Other awards included Fairfield High School Athlete of the Month, and athlete of the week honors from the Contra Costa Times and The Daily Republic. Four-year track letterwinner and three-year basketball letterwinner. Received school’s most athletic award. High School: El Cerrito ’04.
