Fall 2008: Saw action in the season opening Pre’s Trail Run.
2007-08: Did not race on the track. In the fall, ran two cross country races for UO, the Mike Hodges Invitational and Beaver Classic.
Before Oregon: Competed two seasons for Lane Community College. Helped LCC win league cross country title. Received team’s Most Inspirational Award in 2006 and Track Coaches Award in 2007. Won NWAACC 1,500 meter title in 2006.
Prep: Helped Churchill High School to a second-place district finish. Lettered four seasons in track and field and three seasons in cross country. Varsity scholar recipient winner.
Personal: Human physiology major. Was born in Irkutsk, Russia. Father Valeryi was a professional 800 meter runner in Russia.
