Distance runner who ranks No. 4 all-time on Oregon’s 3,000 meter steeplechase list. One of the more experienced cross country runners on the team who ran as a member of UO’s 2007 second-place NCAA cross country squad. Two-time NCAA West Regional qualifier in the steeplechase.
2009-10: Cross Country: Varsity debut was a third-place showing at the Mike Hodges Invitational. Ran unattached at the Bill Dellinger Invitational. Pac-10 Cross Country All-Academic honorable mention.
2008-09: NCAA West Regional qualifier in the 3,000 meter steeplechase. Had four steeplechase races on the season. Moved up to fourth on the UO career steeplechase list with her ninth-place 10:36.26 time at the Pac-10 Championships. Did not compete indoors. Took 15th at the NCAA West Regional in 10:46.36. In the fall, competed in four cross country races, including the Pac-10 Championships and the Bill Dellinger Invitational. Pac-10 All Academic Track & Field second team. Pac-10 All-Academic Cross Country honorable mention. Season Bests: Outdoors - 3,000 Meter Steeplechase - 10:36.26 (PR), Pac-10 Championships, Eugene, Ore. (5/17/09).
2007-08: NCAA West Regional qualifier in the 3,000 meter steeplechase. Ran the steeplechase three times, including the Oregon Relays, the Oregon Twilight and the NCAA West Regional. Ran seasonal-best time of 10:38.08 at the NCAA Regional. In cross country, competed in six races for Ducks, scoring a top-30 finish in her Pac-10 Championships debut (27th overall, 21:01) to earn a spot on NCAA squad three weeks later. Finished third overall to lead Ducks in the Beaver Classic and competed in the Dellinger Invitational. USTFCCCA All-Academic first team. Pac-10 All-Academic Track & Field All-Academic honorable mention. Season Bests: Outdoors - 3,000 Meter Steeplechase - 10:38.08, NCAA West Regional, Northridge, Calif. (5/31/08).
Before Oregon: Competed for Brown University as a freshman in 2006-07. In cross country, regularly ran in team’s top five during season. On the track, placed top eight in the Ivy League Championships indoor mile (eighth) and outdoor 3,000 meter steeplechase (seventh).
Prep: Was a state championships qualifier in track as a junior (1,600 meters) and senior (1,600 meters/3,200 meters) and in cross country as a senior. Lettered two seasons in track and field and field hockey, and one season in cross country, lacrosse and soccer. Owned mile and 2-mile prep bests of 4:59 and 11:04, respectively. National Honor Society, California Scholarship Federation member and Ford Scholarship recipient.
