Returns as sophomore in 2005 ready to focus solely on track after he split duty between football and track as a freshman. Based on 2004 season bests, ranks second among Duck sprinters in indoor 60 (7.10), and is an obvious 4x100 relay candidate. Needs to run outdoor time of 10.50 in 100 in '05 to net regional invite. Was top-eight Oregon high school 4A state finisher in 100, 200, long jump and 4x100 as a senior in 2003.
2003-2004: Did not compete outdoors as he focused on spring football commitments as a back-up cornerback. Indoors, competed four times in the 60 and ran 7.20 or faster in every effort. Ranked second on squad in the 60 with personal best from the prelims (7.10) of the Pac-10 Invitational in mid-February in Seattle. Ran exactly the same time (7.11) in four other final or preliminary races during the indoor season.
Personal: Pre-Business major. His twin brother Sol was a two-time state champion in the hurdles as a senior, and a top-three finisher individually on three other occasions as a junior and sophomore.
