Enters 2005 ranked 10th all-time for Ducks in triple jump (39-7), thanks to her 1-foot, 9 1/4-inch outdoor improvement as a junior in 2004 - and less than eight inches from sixth-ranked Janell Thorsland (40-4 3/4, 1987). Stands seventh in the Pac-10 among returnees based on 2004 season bests.
2003-2004: Pac-10 Scorer (Triple Jump). Culminated junior season with a triple jump personal best leap that resulted in first Pac-10 points (seventh, 39-7 - five places better than her league ranking. Qualified for Pac-10 finale in final regular season meet thanks to a then-personal best in the Oregon Twilight (second, 38-10 1/2) in Eugene. Overall, jumped 38-feet or better three times on the season, and cleared 38 feet for the first time in career in the early season Stanford Invitational (fourth-B section, 38-2, w:1.5). Ended outdoor slate less than eight inches shy of regional qualifying standard (40-2 3/4). Indoors, competed four times, and jumped a then-personal best in January’s Bodybuilding.com Invitational (third, 37-0 1/2), and upped her indoor personal best in the NCAA Last Chance Qualifier (fifth, 37-5 1/4) in March. Personal/Seasonal Bests: Outdoors - Long Jump - 5.34m (17-6 1/4) (PR) w: 2.0, Pepsi Team Invite, Eugene (4/10/04). Triple Jump - 12.06m (39-7) w:+0.9 (PR), Pac-10 Championships, Tucson, Ariz. (5/15/04). Indoors - Long Jump - 5.19m (17-0 1/2) (PR), Bodybuilding.com Invitational, Nampa, Idaho (1/31/04). Triple Jump - 11.48m (37-8) (PR), Mt. Pacific Championships, Seattle, 2/27/04.
2002-03: Bettered preseason wind-legal best (36-6 3/4) by almost a foot with sophomore best in the Oregon Twilight (fourth, 37-4 1/2). Opened home slate with a seven-inch windy best in Oregon Preview (fourth, 37-9 1/2w, w:+2.3) .Altogether, had legal marks in four of her five appearances, with all of them past her preseason wind-legal or windy bests from her freshman season. Personal/Seasonal Bests: Outdoors - Triple Jump - 11.52m (37-9 1/2w), Oregon Preview, Eugene, 3/22/03. 11.39m (37-4 1/2) (then-PR), Oregon Twilight, Eugene, 5/3/03. Indoors - Triple Jump - 10.85m (35-7 1/4), Washington Invitational, Seattle, 2/15/03.
Prep: Took third in state meet in triple jump as senior in 2001 (37-3 3/4) - and only four inches from win - and added fourth as junior in 2000 (36-0 1/2). Lettered four seasons in basketball at both guard positions and two seasons in volleyball at outside hitter and middle back positions. Off the track, earned district scholar award and was an honor roll selection. High School (Coach): Marshfield '01 (Craig Osterson/Steve Pennington).
