PERSONAL ? Born Ian Michael Reynoso on May 26, 1983 in Fullerton, Calif. Parents: Manuel and Karen Reynoso. Family: No brothers or sisters. High School (Coach): Los Alamitos (John Barnes) 2001. Major: Art. Redshirt: 2001.
HIGH SCHOOL ? The two-time first-team all-Orange County prospect and Long Beach Press-Telegram Dream Team honoree projected as one of Western Region’s top 11 prep offensive linemen by PrepStar magazine. The Sunset League’s offensive lineman of the year started all 24 games for program which posted a 20-4 ledger.
OREGON ? Looms as lone senior along the offensive line and coaches looking for him to embrace that responsibility in his final year. The 14-game starter encountered a frustrating latter half of the spring when a recurring back ailment rendered him to the sidelines and hampered his development. Utilizes good strength and intelligence but hopes are he can become more physical in his final season. Different offensive scheme requires him to adjust some of his techniques and become more fundementally sound. Exhibits great work ethic and flexibility to play either guard or center, yet will have to work to regain starting nod.
2004 ? Made appearances in all 11 games while starting nine of them at right guard. Credited with the offensive line’s best grade against Indiana but also cited for efforts against Idaho, Washington State and Oklahoma. Led the team with 117 snaps against the Cougars.
2003 ? Extended opportunities came knocking in 2003 after
injuries to the offensive line sidelined several key contributors. Reynoso went on to play in all 12 regular-season games for the Ducks and earned the starting nod in five contests, including games vs. Michigan and three consecutive outings near the end of the season (Washington, California and UCLA). Held his own vs. Michigan’s big defensive line, playing in a career-high 90 snaps vs. the Wolverines, matching the snap counts of three veteran offensive linemen.
2002 ? Play was limited to four games, including a season-high 20 snaps vs. Idaho, 12 vs. Portland State and nine in the season opener vs. Mississippi State.
2001 ? Earned citations as scout team’s offensive player of the week on four occasions during redshirt year, aiding preparations in wins over Wisconsin, Washington State, UCLA and Oregon State.
