HIGH SCHOOL ? The option quarterback transformed outstanding athletic skills to guide the Wildcats to the 1999 CIF San Diego Section Division I title with an unblemished 13-0 record, helping the program rack up over 4,700 yards of total offense. Development resulted in earning Avocado League offensive player-of-the-year honors his senior year. Personally accounted for 897 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground as a senior in addition to 1,142 yards and seven scores passing.
OREGON ? An extremely intelligent football player who has improved on the field as his confidence level has risen.Yet has been unable to shake the injury factor that has not allowed him to find his niche. Has gained a grasp of the defense as a fifth-year senior and has accumulated the experience that can’t be replicated by younger hopefuls, yet has been unable to benefit from that experince when hurt. Is a good football player who certainly would have a role in the secondary if he can remain on the field. Accumulated three tackles in the spring finale. Possesses the secondary’s second-best bench press (345 lbs.)
2004 ? Accumulated tackles vs. Oklahoma, Stanford and Oregon State in seven appearances, and returned an interception eight yards vs. Washington. Served in a reserve role at rover as well as a nickel back in passing situations. Filled in for 25 plays at Oklahoma, followed by 23 against Washington and 21 vs. Oregon State.
2003 ? Stepped onto the field in eight games, primarily from a special team’s standpoint. Did get experience from the line of scrimmage vs. Arizona State where he put up a season-high two tackles. Also had one tackle vs. Arizona. Bided time behind more experienced players, but improved his level of play as well as his understanding of the defense.
2002 ? Made his way onto the field in three contests ? Fresno State, Idaho and Portland State. Saw most action in 21 snaps vs. the Vikings and added 14 vs. Idaho and eight vs. Fresno State. Credited with a tackle for a 4-yard loss against Portland State in addition to one assist in his collegiate debut against the Bulldogs.
2001 ? Honored as scout team’s special teams player-of-the-week for aiding preparations against Utah during redshirt campaign.
