Played for the Waimea Waves of the Hawaii Collegiate Baseball League...hit .227 in 19 games, with 12 runs scored, three doubles, seven RBIs and 12 walks…the Waves reached the HCBL tourney championship, but fell in two games to the Waikiki Surfers…playing with Oregon teammate Sean Potkay, the Waves finished their regular season with a league-best record of 28-12.

A 2008 graduate of Puyallup High School in Washington...was a three-sport athlete for the Vikings...played four years for the baseball program under head coach Marc Wiese...was named to the all-state team splitting playing time between catcher and third base...also competed on the wrestling team for two years and golfed for two seasons...played for the Northwest Timberjacks in Tacoma, Wash., for head coach Mike Brooks.
