Wasikowski announces coaching staff reorganization

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon head baseball coach Mark Wasikowski announced some changes in coaching duties for the upcoming 2027 season.
Brett Thomas, who has been a member of Wasikowski's staff since his first season as Oregon's head coach, will serve as the club's hitting and outfield coach. Tim Susnara, who served as the director of player development/analytics last season, will continue in that role while also adding assistant coaching duties working with catchers and hitters. Both Thomas and Susnara are former Duck players, as is Darrell Hunter, the team's head strength coach.

Matt Florer returns as the Ducks' pitching coach and is joined on the staff by Ryan Fineman, who was hired in July as an assistant coach and the program's recruiting coordinator. He will also assist Susnara with catchers.

Wasikowski's coaching staff also features a pair of former Major League Baseball players. Travis Buck returns as the team's director of baseball operations while also adding assistant coaching duties. Dan Straily returns for year two as the Ducks' director of pitching development. Straily pitched in the Big Leagues from 2012 to 2019, starting more than 20 games in four different seasons. Buck spent six seasons in the Majors before spending time as an assistant coach at Arizona State, Boise State and Loyola Marymount.

Wasikowski also named Dominic Graziano as the program's director of camps. Graziano, a 2026 University of Oregon graduate, was a student manager for the Ducks' during his time in college.
