Veteran member of the heptathlon corps returns for her fifth year in Eugene. A healthy junior season made a big difference as she just missed a PR by eight points, scored at the Pac-10 meet and advanced to the NCAA Championships for the first time since her freshman season. Currently ranks seventh all-time in the heptathlon (5,428 points) and second in the indoor pentathlon (3,929 points). Also ranks second all-time indoors for Oregon in the 60 meter hurdles.
2008-09: Earned two All-America awards as a senior. In the heptathlon, was sixth at the NCAA Championships and second in the Pac-10. Opened season with a runner-up finish in the heptathlon at the Big Green in the Desert Multis (5,343 points). Improved that to a career-best 5,582 points in a win at the Oregon Relays. Added another 200 points to that total in a runner-up finish at the Pac-10 Championships (5,780 points) to help Oregon win its first title in 17 years. . Finished sixth at the NCAA Championships (5,683 points) to earn her first career outdoor All-America honors and help Oregon finish second nationally. Qualified for the USA Championships, were she scored a personal-best 5,821 points to finish fifth. Score ranks third all-time at Oregon. Ran a personal-best 14.04 in the 100 meter hurdles at the USA meet, which ranked 10th on the UO list. Had PR in the 200 meters of 24.44 at the USA meet as well. Also represented the United States at the 2010 Thorpe Cup. Indoors - Finished ninth in the pentathlon at the NCAA Indoor Championships with 4,088 points. That score ranked second in school history. Was the MPSF champion in the pentathlon (4,044 points). Ran 8.83 seconds in the 60 meter hurdles at the NCAA meet, the No. 4 time in school history. Pac-10 all-academic second team. 2007-08: NCAA qualifier and Pac-10 scorer in the heptathlon. Topped 5,000 points four times in heptathlon competitions in 2008. Season-best was 5,420 points at the Mt. SAC Relays, where she placed fifth and was just eight points off her personal best. Scored 5,022 points in finishing eighth at the Pac-10 Championships before tallying 5,369 points in a 17th-place showing against a strong field at the NCAA Championships. Opened season with 5,318 points and a third-place finish at the Sacramento State Invitational. Set personal heptathlon bests in the 100 meter hurdles (14.37), the high jump (5-7.75) and the long jump (18-7.5). Ranked second on the squad in the heptathlon, the 100 meter hurdles and the high jump. Also set a personal best in the 400 meter hurdles (1:03.15) at the Oregon Preview. Indoors, competed in one pentathlon. Ran season-best 9.15 in the 60 meter hurdles at the UW Indoor Preview. USTFCCCA All-Academic first team. Pac-10 All-Academic second team. 2006-07: Pac-10 scorer in the heptathlon. Scored repeat top-six Pac-10 finish in heptathlon (sixth, 5,115 points) and met the NCAA provisional mark (5,000 points). A week later boosted the team with Pac-10 event debuts in the 400 meter hurdles and long jump. At season’s end, owned Ducks’ top marks in the heptathlon, 100 meter hurdles and long jump. Indoors, ranked second on the team in the 60 meter hurdles and pentathlon. Season Bests: Outdoors - Heptathlon - 5,115 points, Pac-10 Championships, Stanford, Calif. 2005-06: NCAA qualifier in the heptathlon. Posted impressive heptathlon debut in Mt. SAC Relays (5,428), earning an NCAA automatic berth. In NCAA heptathlon debut, ran a personal best in the final event, the 800 meters, to win her section and rank third overall. Overcame fall in first event of Pac-10 Championships to still finish sixth in the nation’s top heptathlon league (5,036 points). Ran leg on fifth-place 4x400 meter relay in West Regional (3:42.21). Ended indoor season ranked 22nd among collegians in the pentathlon, and was four spots and 12 points from the final NCAA invitation. Pentahlon best (3,929) second all-time indoors at Oregon, while she also recorded marks in the 60 hurdles (8.88, second) and high jump (5-7.75). Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention. 2004-05: Redshirted and did not compete indoors and outdoors.
Prep: As a senior in 2004, won her ninth state title in the 100 meter hurdles (15.07) and placed in the 100 meters (fourth), 200 meters (second), high jump (second) and triple jump (second). As a junior at Belgrade High School, was a four-event state winner in the 100 meters, 200 meters, 100 hurdles (meet record 14.64), and triple jump, and high jump runner-up. As a sophomore, won her first four state individual titles in the 200 meters, 100 hurdles, high jump and triple jump. Advanced to state final as a freshman and competed in the long jump (sixth). Carried a 3.9 GPA in high school and graduated with honors.
Personal: Psychology major. Her father was a Duck shot put letterwinner in 1965 and played football for USC.
