2006: Portland native earned her Oregon jersey in the spring and will help with depth in the midfield, a position the Ducks are striving to be better at this fall.
2005: Redshirt season. Joined the team in the spring as an invited walk-on and impressed the coaches enough to win a permanent spot on the squad. Led Oregon in scoring during the spring season with two goals -- one against Seattle University and one versus Western Oregon.
High School: Named the 2004 Portland Interscholastic League MVP while playing for Wilson High School as a senior. Earned first team all-state honors in 2004. Won three career all-PIL first team honors. Also played basketball and ran track. Was Wilson’s 2005 valedictorian. Played club soccer for 2005 state champion FC Portland.
Personal: Born Kara Marie Beasley on Nov. 4, 1986, in Portland, Ore. Parents are Charles Beasley and Melinda O’Sullivan. One older brother. Lists gardening as one of her hobbies. Biology major. Also enrolled in the UO honors college.
