MINNEAPOLIS – Oregon continued to be one of the most accurate shots-on-goal teams in the Big Ten, putting 8-of-11 shots on target Sunday, but conceded a pair of early goals and fell to Minnesota 4-0 at Elizabeth Lyle Robbie Stadium.

After halftime, the Ducks went on the attack, getting off five shots – three on goal – in the first 15 minutes of the period.

But the Gophers added a third goal in the 80^th minute and a fourth on a penalty kick in the final minute.

The Ducks wrap up the regular season Friday at Washington.

How It Happened: The Ducks got off to a slow start, allowing goals in the ninth and 19^th minute.

After that Oregon and Minnesota played level for the middle part of the match.

The back line sparked the Ducks' offensive effort. Defender Kylie Farmer led Oregon with three shots – two on goal – and defender Taylor Dever had two shot attempts – both on goal.

Carly Cormack also attempted two shots, while Savannah Holley, Giselle White, Logan Russo and Gemma Pappas each had one.

Notable: Freshman Giselle White made the first start of her career, while Lauren Kenny got her first start of the season. … White made her seventh appearance for Oregon after playing for Argentina in the U20 FIFA World Cup last month. … Pappas' shot was her first of the season.
