Will challenge for Pac-10 appearance in 400 and/or 800, and will see frequent relay duty for Ducks who took seventh in Pac-10 meet in ?04 thanks to a four-second season best (3:42.23). Lowered personal best in 800 by almost two seconds as a junior, and in 400 was only .08 seconds shy of her personal best. In 2005, ranks second on squad outdoors in 2004 in the 200 and 400 among Duck returnees.
2003-2004: Pac-10 Scorer (4x400). Outdoors, competed in four 400-meter races, and ran a season best in the Pepsi Invite in Eugene (third, 56.80). Also ran 57-second clockings in the Stanford Invitational (20th, 57.84) in March and the Long Beach State Invitational (seventh overall, first-heat, 57.68) in April. Notched season-best 200 in the Pepsi Invite (sixth, 25.95). Part of winning 4x400 unit in Pepsi Team Invite (first, 3:46.92) and 4x100 unit in Oregon Twilight (47.97). Indoors, ranked second on the squad in the 400 with season best from the Mountain Pacific Championships (ninth-prelims, 57.53), and missed the final by one spot. Also competed once indoors in the 800. Stood third on squad in 800 with an indoor personal best performance in the Pac-10 Invitational (23rd, 2:15.58). Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention. 2002-03: Competed in six outdoor meets for Ducks (400-3; 800-3). Ran 400 season best to score in Pepsi Team Invite (third, 56.72). Ran fastest career 800 in season debut in Willamette Six-Way (fourth, 2:17.25). Indoors, ran season bests in 200 in UW Invite (25th, 26.51) and in 400 in Mountain Pacific Championships (18th, 58.68), and ranked fourth and third on team, respectively, at season’s end. 2001-02: Ranked third overall on squad in 400 (57.69), and in limited action in the 200 stood fourth overall (25.53). Ran five 400 races outdoors, with sub-59 second clockings in the Washington Dual (second, 57.69), Montana State-Weber State Triangular (third, 58.22) and Oregon Twilight (second, 58.99). Claimed first collegiate win in 400 in Linfield Icebreaker (60.18). Indoors, ran three meets for Ducks. Ranked second on team in 400 with mark from UW Quad (fifth, 59.59), and ranked fourth in 60 (8.11) and fifth in the 200 (26.52) with marks from UW Invitational that netted 16th- and 17th-place finishes, respectively. Personal/Seasonal Bests: Outdoors - 200 - 25.53 nwi (PR), Linfield Icebreaker, McMinnville (3/2/02). 400 - 57.69 (then-PR), Washington Dual, Eugene (4/13/02). Prep: Capped her senior season in 2001, anchoring 4x400 relay to runner-up state finish (3:57.02). As a junior finished seventh in state in 400 (58.63) with 4x400 relay competing in preliminary round (4:05.58). Also took fourth as a sophomore in state 400 (58.69) and eighth in 200 as a freshman (25.99). Won district title in 400 as junior and senior and won team's MVP award. Lettered four seasons in track and three seasons in cross country with 5K best of 19:50.
Personal: Her uncle Billy Hupfer played football for the University of Oregon. Major: Business Administration.
