Rapidly improving thrower from Washington was the 2010 state runner-up in the shot put.
2010-11: Redshirt season. Was 13th in the hammer at the USA Junior Championships (176-5/53.77m).
Prep: Showed rapid progression in the throws his senior year, adding 18 feet to his hammer best, 10 feet to his discus and three feet in the shot put. Was the 2010 Washington state runner-up in the shot put for Camas High School with a throw of 54.5.75. Best in the shot, a school-record 55.85, came earlier that season at the Oregon Relays at Hayward Field, as did his prep PR in the hammer of 199-5. Was also fourth in the discus at the 2010 state meet with a mark of 159-11. Threw the discus a prep-best 166-9 in the Camas-Hudson’s Bay dual meet.
