Four-time NCAA qualifier in the high jump and a 2009 NCAA indoor All-American transfers to Oregon from Princeton with a season of outdoor eligibility remaining. Four-time Ivy League high jump champion.
2010-11: Outdoors - After the college season, cleared 7-0 three times at OTC All-Comer meets, including a personal-best of 7-3.75/2.23m on July 7. That mark third all-time in school history. Also cleared 7-3/2.21m and 7-0.25/2.13m durring the summer meets. Finished collegiate season by clearing 6-10.75/2.10m at the NCAA Championships. Qualified for the NCAA Championships by tying for 12th in the high jump at the NCAA West Preliminary meet (6-11/2.11m). Finished fourth in an excellent high jump contest at the Pac-10 Championships. Was clean on his first four bars before needing a third attempt clearance at 7-1.5/2.17m to secure fourth place. Just missed twice at the next height, 7-2.5/2.20m. Tied for second at UCLA (6-9.5/2.97m) to help Oregon tie the Bruins. Also the runner-up at the Oregon Relays (6-9.75/2.08m). Cleared 7-0 for the first time as a Duck, going 7-0.25/2.14m to win the high jump at the Pepsi Team Invitational. Won the high jump at the Oregon Decathlon by clearing 6-11/2.11m. Indoors - Competed unattached at the Husky Classic, going 6-9.5/2.07m in the high jump. Season Bests: Outdoors - High Jump - 7-3.75/2.23m, OTC All-Comers Meet, Eugene, Ore. (7/7/11).
Before Oregon: A four-time NCAA Championships qualifier and a 2009 indoor All-American in the high jump for Princeton. During final season at Princeton, set an outdoor personal best in the high jump by clearing 7-1.75/2.18m at the Princeton Elite Meet, and then went on to win his second Ivy League outdoor title with the bar at 7-1/2.16m. Advanced to the 2010 NCAA Championships in Eugene, placing 16th with a best clearance of 6-10.75/2.10m. Ranked 18th nationally in the high jump with the clearance at the Princeton Elite meet. As a junior in 2009, won the Ivy indoor title with an all-conditions personal best clearance of 7-2.25/2.20m. Won indoor All-America honors that season with a ninth place national finish (6-10.25/2.09m). Was also the Ivy League’s 2007 indoor and 2008 outdoor champion. Qualified for the NCAA outdoor meet in 2007-08, and placed 11th in 2008 with a height of 7-0.25/2.14m, his best clearance at the NCAA Championships. Was a three-time All-American for Freehold High School, which won the 2005 state championship. Princeton Bests: Outdoors High Jump - 7-1.75/2.18m, Princeton Elite Meet, Princeton, N.J., 5/1/10.
