2010-11: Outdoors - Opened season with a mark of 168-11/51.50m at the Oregon Preview. Improved to 171-3/52.19m at the Pepsi Team Invitational. Claimed third in the hammer in the UCLA dual (170-3/51.89) to help the Ducks tie that dual meet. Pac-10 all-academic second team. Indoors - Did not compete. Season Bests: Outdoors - Hammer - 171-3/52.19m, Pepsi Team Invitational, Eugene, Ore. (4/9/11).
2009-10: Outdoors - Injuries limited him to just two meets, but did set a 20-foot PR in the hammer, throwing 180-4/54.96m at the Pepsi Team Invitational. Indoors - Did not compete. Season Bests: Outdoors - Hammer - 180-4/54.96m (PR), Pepsi Team Invitational, Eugene, Ore. (4/10/10).
2008-09: Competed in the hammer in four meets outdoors and the discus twice. Best hammer of 160-10/49.02m came at the Oregon Twilight. Top discus was 131-3/40.00m at the Oregon preview. Did not compete indoors. Season Bests: Outdoors - Discus - 131-3/40.00m (PR), Oregon Preview, Eugene, Ore. (3/21/09); Hammer - 160-10/49.02m, Oregon Twilight, Eugene, Ore. (5/9/09).
2007-08: Redshirted the indoor and outdoor seasons.
Prep: Threw discus best in Oregon 6A state meet for Central Catholic High School as a senior (third, 155-4) and also scored as a junior (eighth, 149-2). Overall, lettered three years in track, and one year in football at linebacker and quarterback. National Honor Society and Honor Roll selection, and received social studies award and Insignis award. High School Bests: Discus - 155-4.
Personal: Human physiology/Pre-med major. His grandfather Bob Sanders lettered in football at UO (1947-48-49), and father Bill Norris ran for Boston College and the Oregon Track Club. His uncles, Dan and Rob Sanders and Greg Mobley played football at Oregon State. During the summer of 2009, climbed four mountains: Rainier, Shasta, St. Helens and Kilimanjaro, the last of which he did while volunteering in a Tanzanian hospital. Added Mt. Adams in Washington State during the summer of 2010.
