2011 — Topped all tight ends and long snappers in five drills during winter conditioning: power clean (330 pounds), squat (465 pounds), bench press (365 pounds), electronic 20-yard (2.84 seconds) and fly 30 (3.09 seconds).
2010 — Appeared in 11 games … Saw his playing time increase as the season wore on despite not recording a reception after the second contest of the year … Played a season-high 61 snaps in victory vs. Arizona … Did not suit up vs. Portland State or at Arizona State due to injury … Lone reception in win at Tennessee went for 29 yards … Had one catch for 19 yards in UO debut vs. New Mexico … Enrolled at Oregon in time for start of winter term and participated in spring drills … Shared honors as team’s fastest tight end during winter workouts, recording electronic 40 of 4.89, as well as position’s co-leader with a 297-lb. clean … Paced the tight ends with a 285-lb. bench press.
BEFORE OREGON — First-team NJCAA All-American in 2009 for Joliet JC … Led the Wolves with 56 receptions for 908 yards and seven touchdowns in ‘09, averaging 16.1 yards per catch … Totaled 254 yards on nine grabs, including three scores against Ellsworth CC, to garner NJCAA offensive player of the week honors … Named all-league Midwest Football Conference (MFC), first-team MFC East Division and first-team all-region (Region IV) for the ‘09 season … Also played basketball at Joliet … Played for two years at St. Rita HS in Chicago before transferring to Eisenhower HS … Played WR and DE for the Eisenhower Cardinals and head coach Mike Emanuelson in the South Suburban League.
