Soccer Hosts Utah in Final Nonconference Match

Oregon's four-match homestand continues Thursday against Utah (6 p.m., B1G+) in the final nonconference game of 2026. This will be the first meeting between the Ducks and Utes since 2023.

ONE-TIMERS
• Oregon's best start in a decade continued with the Ducks' 6-0 defeat of Oregon State on Aug. 27.
• That was the most goals scored and the biggest margin of victory in the Rivalry Series.
• Oregon's 4-0-1 record is its best since the 2016 team also went 4-0-1 through five games.
• The Ducks' 16 goals through five games is the program's most in 45 years (1981, 25 goals).

• Tracy Joyner is 134-87-33 with 11 winning seasons in 14 years as a head coach. She is 56-47-14 at the Division I level (seventh season) and built winning programs at a junior college (42-15-7 at Santa Rosa JC), at an NCAA Division II school (36-25-12 at San Francisco State) and at the DI level (49-37-8 at UC Davis).

DUCKS OFF TO THEIR BEST START IN A DECADE
Oregon's 4-0-1 record is its best through five games since the 2016 squad also went 4-0-1. Dating back to last season, the Ducks are unbeaten in their last seven games (5-0-2).

FOR THE DEFENSE
The Ducks have posted four shutouts in their first five matches for just the second time in program history. The only other squad to accomplish that was the 2011 team that opened the season with five consecutive shutouts. Oregon's 0.20 goals against average is tops in the Big Ten and eighth nationally. The Ducks have yet to allow a goal in the run of play this season, giving up a lone penalty kick at Santa Clara.

FOR THE OFFENSE
The Ducks' 16 goals through five games is the program's best offensive start to a season in 45 years. The 1981 squad opened the season with 25 goals in five games. The Ducks are third in the Big Ten in goals, points (44) and goal differential (+15).

UNBEATEN STREAK REACHES SEVEN
Dating back to last season, Oregon is unbeaten in its last seven matches (5-0-2). That's tied for the sixth longest streak in program history and is the Ducks' longest since a 12-game unbeaten streak spanning the 2020-21 seasons.

WHITE HEADED TO U20 FIFA WOMEN'S WORLD CUP
Freshman forward Giselle White is headed to the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. After spending two weeks in training camp with Argentina's U-20 National Team, White received the news Aug. 28 that she would be one of 21 players making the trip to Poland to represent Argentina in the World Cup. Argentina will open the tournament Saturday, Sept. 5 against the host team in Katowice, Poland. Pool play continues for Argentina Sept. 8 versus Benin and Sept. 11 against Mexico. Both of those matches will also be played in Katowice. Sixteen teams will advance to the elimination round that starts Sept. 16.

DUCKS SCORE SIX GOALS IN HISTORIC RIVALRY SERIES WIN
Ellie Felt and Logan Russo both scored two goals to lead Oregon to a dominant 6-0 Rivalry Series win over Oregon State in front of a standing room only crowd of 1,172 Aug. 27 at Papé Field. The Ducks' six goals were the most scored in the history of the series and the program's most overall since a 6-1 win against Butler Sept. 19, 2010. Oregon's margin of victory was also the largest of the 30 meetings between the two in-state rivals. Felt got Oregon on the board on a penalty kick in the 27th minute. Russo followed with her first two collegiate goals less than five minutes apart to stake the Ducks to a 3-0 halftime lead. The Ducks added three more goals after halftime from Cloe Chase, Felt and Savannah Holley who, like Russo, found the back of the net for the first time in her collegiate career. Goalkeepers Gray Willson and Gia Kiesling combined on Oregon's fourth shutout in five games.
