SANTA CLARA, Calif. – Oregon found itself down 1-0 less than three minutes into Thursday night's match at Santa Clara, but rallied for a 1-1 tie on the home field of the 2026 preseason West Coast Conference favorites.
Â
"Today was a battle between two very good teams," said Oregon coach Tracy Joyner. "We both had chances to the win the game. Lots for us to learn and grow from moving forward."
Â
The Broncos (1-0-2) were awarded a penalty kick in the third minute following a coach's challenge video review.
Â
Carly Cormack scored the equalizer for the Ducks in the 22nd minute, taking a pass from Shiloh Baird and one-timing a shot to the bottom of the net at the far post.
Â
