SAN FRANCISCO – Oregon executed set pieces to perfection in Sunday's 3-0 win over San Franciso at Negoesco Stadium.

Ellie Felt converted on both a penalty kick and a free kick, while Cloe Chase scored her first goal as a Duck as Oregon is off to its best start in 10 years at 3-0-1.

Goalkeepers Kailey Kimball and Gia Kiesling combined on the Ducks' third shutout in four games. Oregon's defense held the Dons (1-1-1) to just two shots, neither of which were on goal.

""Sundays are always a battle," said coach Tracy Joyner. "We played hard and I was happy for both Cloe and Ellie to get their first goals for the Ducks."

How It Happened: The Ducks took a 2-0 lead on a pair of first half set pieces.

In the 16^th minute, Felt was fouled on the left side of USF's 18-yard-box and after a video review, Oregon was awarded a penalty kick. On the try, Felt gave the Ducks a 1-0 lead by beating USF keeper Grace Wilson to the right side of the net.

Oregon just missed a second goal in the 38^th minute. Carly Cormack took a free kick from just outside the box. Wilson made a diving save and on the rebound Giselle Fuentes Gonzalez knocked a shot off the crossbar.

One minute later, Wilson came out of the box and committed a hard foul on Cailin Bloom who had beat the Dons' last defender. Wilson was issued a red card and on the ensuing free kick from just outside the box, Felt bent the ball around the wall and inside the left post to give Oregon a 2-0 lead. The Ducks were up a player for the remainder of the match.

Chase scored her first goal as a Duck in the 64th minute. USF attempted to clear the ball deep in its own end, but an errant kick defected off Oregon's Logan Russo directly to Chase, who was wide open in the box. Chase then found the back of the net from 14 yards out.

Oregon outshot USF 24-2, including 14-1 in the first half.

Notable: Oregon was last 3-0-1 four games into the season in 2016 … The Ducks' 10 goals through its first three games are the most since the 2021 squad had 13 in the opening four games … Felt attempted a career-high five shots … Making her first start in goal, Kimball picked up her first win as a Duck … Russo was credited with her first career assist on Chase's goal.
