Returners include sophomore Patsy Daughters, junior Tilde Jagare, sophomore Avery Jennings, sophomore Bridget Mihulka, sophomore Juliet Santitto and redshirt senior Olivia Symons.
The Ducks are coming off a strong fall campaign, in which the team posted a combined 20-11 doubles record while going 39-29 in singles over three events. The fall saw Jagare advanced to the quarterfinal round of the ITA Sectionals, while UO's doubles team of Hinata Furutani and Symons reached the quarterfinals of the ITA Northwest Regionals.
Jagare was named to the Big Ten's preseason players to watch list after leading the Ducks with a 7-2 singles record during the fall season. The Sweden native went 14-9 during the spring dual season a year ago.
Seven of nine athletes that played during the fall finished with a .500 singles record or better, while 10 of 13 doubles pairings achieved that mark. Furutani and Symons led UO with five doubles victories, going 5-2.
Three incoming freshmen joined the program for the spring season in Hadley Appling, Virginia Crocker and Furutani. Appling claimed Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors after 3-0 during the fall's Duck Invitational. Crocker finished the fall campaign 4-3 in singles play while Furutani turned in a 6-4 singles mark.
Oregon is 28-0 all-time against Portland State after defeating the Vikings 7-0 to open the 2025 spring season. The sides will meet for the seventh straight season, with Friday's match being the fifth straight in a season opener.
