High School: Channel League co-champion in 2005 and the league’s defensive player of the year in 2007. Member of the Eagles Soccer Club that won the 2007 state, regional and national championship. The Eagles also accomplished that feat in 2004. Three-time Surf Cup champions.
Personal: Born Haley Frances Wilson on April 26, 1990, in Ventura, Calif. Parents are Ralph and Kate Wilson. Three brothers and one sister. Father Ralph played football for San Diego State in the late 1970s. Brother Derek Swafford played in the Pittsburgh Pirates’ minor league system for five years before a successful turn as a wide receiver at California in 2000 and ?01. Major is undecided.
