High School:
Four-year MVP for South El Monte High School and first-team all-league selection. Also played on Crown City’s GU-19 California state championship and started in 2004. Lettered three seasons in track and field and competed in 400, 300 hurdles, long jump and triple jump. Also lettered one season as a catcher in softball and was a two-time cross country team MVP.
