CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Oregon held Illinois to nine shots but the Illini scored twice in three minutes just after halftime and the Ducks fell 2-0 Sunday at Demirjian Park.

Oregon temporarily found the net in the 86^th minute when Carly Cormack punched in a free kick from Taylor Dever, but Cormack was ruled offside to negate the goal.

The Ducks head to Eugene looking to bounce back with a four-game homestand that begins Friday with No. 12 UCLA (6 p.m.).

How It Happened: The Ducks (6-3-2, 1-3-1) held Illinois to just one shot in a scoreless first half, while Oregon was able to put four shots on frame in the opening 45 minutes.

All four of the Ducks' first half shots were on goal. Logan Russo had two, while Cormack and Shiloh Baird each had one.

After the break, Illinois (4-2-5, 1-2-2) scored the only goals of the match in the 52^nd and 55^th minutes.

Notable: Six of Oregon's seven shots were on target. … Russo and Lauren Hunter led the Ducks with two each … Illinois was the first team to score twice on the Ducks in a game this season. … The fifth and sixth goals allowed by the Ducks in 2026 are still Oregon's best defensively in 45 years; the 1981 squad allowed just four goals in its first 11 games. … It was Oregon's first game at Demirjian Park. … Illinois head coach Katie Hultin was an assistant at Oregon (2016-17).
