B1G Battle In The Coliseum
No. 20 Oregon opens Big Ten Conference play on Saturday with a top-25 showdown against No. 12 USC. The Ducks will play in the L.A. Memorial Coliseum for the first time since the 2020 Pac-12 Championship Game, and for the first time in the regular season since 2019. Oregon has won four straight meetings against USC following a 42-27 win in Eugene last season, and the Ducks have won six of the last seven matchups as well as eight of the last 10. USC leads the all-time series, 38-24-2, with a 24-9-1 advantage in Los Angeles. UO has yet to lose a conference road game since joining the Big Ten, carrying a perfect 9-0 record in such games into Saturday's showdown with the Trojans.

All Ducks, All Day
Oregon bounced back from its first road loss since 2023 in emphatic fashion last week, setting multiple program records in an 84-0 win over Portland State to close nonconference play. The Ducks broke the modern-day program record for points scored while recording the largest margin of victory both in modern-day program history and in Autzen Stadium history. UO also broke its single-game record with 12 total touchdowns, scored by 10 different players, and picked up a single-game record 43 first downs. Oregon's defense recorded its third shutout under head coach Dan Lanning and the 15th in program history while allowing just 103 total yards, tied for third-fewest in UO single-game history, including only two rushing yards. QB Dante Moore tied his career high with four passing touchdowns while playing only in the first half, QB Dylan Raiola went 11-for-11 with three TDs in his Oregon debut, freshman WR Messiah Hampton caught his first two career touchdowns, RB Jordon Davison ran for two scores and freshman DB Jett Washington forced three turnovers with a forced fumble and two interceptions.

Last Season vs. USC
Facing a potent USC passing attack and battling through multiple injuries to key contributors, the Ducks proved to be the tougher team both physically and mentally in a 42-27 win over the No. 15 Trojans last November in what was billed as a College Football Playoff elimination game at Autzen Stadium. USC scored a touchdown on its opening drive, but the Ducks answered with four first-half touchdowns to take the lead and never let it go. Touchdowns by RB Jordon Davison and TE Kenyon Sadiq helped make it a 14-14 game early in the second quarter, before WR Malik Benson put Oregon ahead for good with an 85-yard punt return for a touchdown. A rushing touchdown on a unique play for ILB Bryce Boettcher just before halftime made it 28-14, and second-half touchdowns by Sadiq and RB Noah Whittington kept the Trojans from getting closer than seven points. QB Dante Moore threw for 257 yards and two touchdowns, Whittington ran for 104 yards and Boettcher matched his career high with 13 tackles on Senior Day.

Prolific Performance Gets Ducks Back On Track
Oregon was historically dominant on both sides of the ball in Week 3 as the Ducks bounced back from their first road loss since 2023 with an 84-0 win over Portland State in Autzen Stadium. The Ducks set the modern-day program record with 84 points - breaking the previous record of 81 set in 2023 vs. PSU - while recording the largest margin of victory in modern-day UO history and Autzen Stadium history. The defense allowed the third-fewest total yards (103) in single-game history while recording the program's 15th all-time shutout and the third under HC Dan Lanning. Oregon extended the nation's longest active nonconference home winning streak to 40 games, a mark that will carry into 2027 barring a postseason game in Autzen Stadium.

Historic Production
The Ducks enjoyed the most prolific offensive performance in program history in Week 3 against Portland State, breaking the modern-day record for points scored with 84, the second-most by any FBS team this season (87 by James Madison vs. Wagner) and tied for fourth-most by a FBS team since 1996. Oregon also broke the single-game program records for total touchdowns (12), total first downs (43) and passing first downs (25) while tying the record for passing touchdowns (7). The Ducks racked up 740 total yards of offense with a balanced attack that featured 451 passing yards and 289 rushing yards. The offense scored touchdowns on each of its first eight drives and 12 of 13 drives overall, racing out to a 28-0 lead through the first quarter and 49-0 at halftime.

Everybody Eats
The Ducks' offense is full of playmakers, as showcased in their 84-point outpouring against Portland State in Week 3. Oregon's program-record 12 total touchdowns came from 10 different players, including two rushing TDs by RB Jordon Davison and two receiving scores from WR Messiah Hampton. RB Brandon Smith (85), Davison (81), RB Da'Jaun Riggs (68) and RB Tradarian Ball (49) all rushed for at least 45 yards and 5.0-plus yards per carry, and 11 different players had multiple receptions while 14 total Ducks caught at least one pass. After QB Dante Moore dazzled with four passing TDs in the first half, QB Dylan Raiola came on and was a perfect 11-of-11 for 124 yards and three touchdowns in his Duck debut. QB Brock Thomas (3-of-5, 16 yards) and QB Akili Smith Jr. (2-of-4, 31 yards) also saw the field. Of the 10 players to score touchdowns, Hampton (2), Smith (1), Ball (1), TE Kendre Harrison (1), TE Andrew Olesh (1) and WR Brady Bidwell (1) all notched their first career TDs.

Dan's Dynamic Ducks
Oregon's offense has been among the most dominant in the nation since HC Dan Lanning took over in 2022, ranking at or near the top in nearly every offensive category during that stretch. Oregon is first or tied for first in the country since 2022 in points scored (2,314), touchdowns (303), passing touchdowns (152), completion percentage (73.2) and touchdown-to-interception ratio (5.07), while also ranking second nationally in completions (1,430), fewest sacks allowed (57), total first downs (1,444), third-down conversion percentage (48.0) and passer rating (170.2). UO is also No. 4 in that span in yards per rush (5.3). Oregon's consistently elite offense over the last four-plus years is made more impressive by the fact the Ducks have had three different offensive coordinators, with former co-OC Drew Mehringer taking over play-calling duties in 2026.

Friday Night Statement
The Oregon defense made an emphatic statement in Week 3, keeping Portland State off the scoreboard in an 84-0 victory in Autzen Stadium. The Ducks held the Vikings to just 103 yards of total offense, including just two rushing yards, while picking off three passes and recovering a fumble for a season-high four turnovers. PSU had just five first downs in the game while going 0-for-9 on third-down attempts, leading to Oregon possessing the ball for 40:52 of game time. The Oregon defense forced Portland State into five three-and-outs on 12 possessions (excluding end-of-half kneeldowns) while recording an interception on three consecutive possessions in the second half - with two coming on the opening play of a drive.

» The 103 total yards allowed tied for the third-fewest allowed in UO history, and the fewest allowed since holding Nevada to 103 yards of offense on Sept. 2, 2000.
