Ducks to Play Pair of Exhibitions

Fans can get a preview of Tracy Joyner's second team at Oregon this week when the Ducks play a pair of exhibition matches. Oregon will play at Portland on Wednesday (6 p.m.) and at Idaho on Saturday (1 p.m.). Both matches are scheduled to be livestreamed on ESPN+. Though the two games won't count in the record book, Oregon is undefeated in its last five matches with the Pilots (2-0-3) and is 5-0-1 all-time against the Vandals. Oregon welcomes 18 newcomers to the team for the fall - 11 freshmen and 7 transfers.

DUCKS LOOK TO BUILD ON STRONG 2025 DEFENSIVE EFFORT
The Ducks showed significant improvement at the defensive end of the field in coach Tracy Joyner's first season. Oregon gave up 21 goals in 2025, an improvement of 12 over the 33 yielded in 2024. The 21 goals allowed were tied for the fifth fewest in program history overall, and tied for the third-best effort in the modern era in a non-Covid shortened season. The Ducks also had one more shutout (5) than they did in 2024 (4).

KEEPING IT CLOSE
Of the Ducks' 18 matches in 2025, 14 were decided by one goal or finished in a tie.

2025 SEASON ENDS ON A HIGH NOTE
The Ducks capped a challenging 2025 season on a high note, upsetting Big Ten Champion Washington, 2-1, in the season finale on Oct. 26. Against the eighth-ranked Huskies, Carly Cormack scored her team-leading fourth goal of the year in the 35th minute. After the Huskies tied the match 1-1 in the 58th minute, Lauren Kenny scored the game-winner from point-blank range on a set piece with 2:00 left in the match.

111 STARTS ON INJURED RESERVE IN 2025
Injuries took their toll on the Ducks last season. Oregon had a combined 111 career starts sidelined by injuries. Included in that total were Taylor Dever (27 starts), Elise Picard (26), Cloe Chase (24) and Kate Cheldelin (20).

CORMACK LEADS OREGON IN SCORING
Carly Cormack led Oregon in goals (4) and points (10) in 2025. She scored two goals in the first 25 minutes to help Oregon play to a 2-2 draw with Penn State last Oct. 12. Cormack also found the net at Hawai'i (Aug. 24), scoring a goal on the same field where she won the 2024 high school state title, and in the 2025 season finale against Washington.

HOMEGROWN TALENT
The Ducks have four Oregonians on the 2026 roster. Cloe Chase (Springfield) is in her third year with the program, while Kate Cheldelin (West Linn) transferred from Washington prior to last year and redshirted the 2025 season. Joining the squad this fall are Ellie Felt (Portland), the 2023 Oregon Gatorade Player of the Year at Sunset High School, and Paige Nakada (Portland), the 2024 Oregonian State Player of the Year at Grant High School.
