White Headed to FIFA U-20 World Cup

EUGENE, Ore. – Freshman forward Giselle White is headed to the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup.

After spending the last two weeks in training camp with Argentina's U-20 National Team, White received the news Friday that she would be one of 21 players making the trip to Poland to represent Argentina in the World Cup.

"We are so proud of and happy for Giselle," said coach Tracy Joyner. "What an amazing accomplishment. Her hard work and dedication to her craft has paid off for an opportunity to compete internationally. We know she'll represent the Ducks well."

Argentina will open the tournament Sept. 5 against the host team in Katowice, Poland.

Pool play continues for Argentina Sept. 8 versus Benin and Sept. 11 against Mexico. Both of those matches will also be played in Katowice.

Sixteen teams will advance to the elimination round that starts Sept. 16.

Argentina advanced to the Round of 16 at the 2024 U-20 Women's World Cup.

Oregon, 4-0-1 after a 6-0 victory over Oregon State Thursday, returns to action Sept. 3 hosting at Utah at 6 p.m.
