Ducks Vs. Cornhuskers In Autzen
Oregon will play in Autzen Stadium for the fourth time this season and second week in a row when the Ducks host Nebraska under the lights at 8 p.m. on Saturday. UO is looking to bounce back from a tough loss to UCLA last week, just its third home loss since 2022 and fifth since 2017. Oregon will host Nebraska in Autzen Stadium for the first time since 2017, when the Ducks claimed their second-ever win over the Huskers and first since 1953 with a 42-35 victory.Â
Nebraska Connections
QB Dylan Raiola brings a lot of familiarity with Nebraska after starting 22 games for the Cornhuskers over the last two seasons, and defensive line coach Tony Tuioti coached in Lincoln from 2019-21 prior to arriving in Eugene. ILB Devon Jackson is the only Nebraska native on UO's roster.Â
A Win Would...
» Be Oregon's second straight vs. Nebraska and third all-time.
» Make UO 19-2 in conference play since joining the Big Ten.
» Improve UO to 29-3 at home under HC Dan Lanning and 57-5 at home since 2017.Â
Ducks Drop Top-25 Matchup To UCLA
With injured starting QB Dante Moore out due to a concussion sustained in Week 4, the Ducks struggled to find offensive consistency until the fourth quarter in a tough 17-15 loss to then-No. 21 UCLA last Saturday in Autzen Stadium. Oregon's defense fought gamely, holding UCLA's vaunted rushing attack to 140 yards - half its season average - and forcing three turnovers, and the UO special teams blocked a field goal and was solid in other facets as well. But offensively the Ducks had seven turnovers and were 1-of-13 on third down, unable to take advantage of strong play in the other two phases of the game. QB Brock Thomas entered the game in the fourth quarter and sparked the offense, going 11-of-15 for 156 yards and a 44-yard touchdown pass to WR Evan Stewart to make it 17-15, but the ensuing two-point conversion was no good and UO was unable to get into field goal range on its final possession.Â
Numbers to Know
2 -Â Nebraska is making its second ever trip to Autzen Stadium, and first since a 42-35 Oregon win in 2017.Â
4 -Â Oregon is the only team in the nation to have played four teams currently in the AP top 25.Â
5.0 - OLB Matayo Uiagalelei is tied for the Big Ten lead and tied for eighth nationally with 5.0 sacks after having 2.0 vs. UCLA.
22.06 -Â Oregon ranks No. 2 nationally in opponent third-down percentage at 22.06%, trailing only Nebraska (19.72%).Â
30 - Under HC Dan Lanning (since 2022), the Ducks lead the nation in 30-plus point games  with 48, two more than any other program (46, Georgia).
The Road Less Traveled
Oregon has played one of the most challenging schedules in the nation to begin 2026. Entering Week 7, the Ducks are the only team in college football to have played four opponents currently ranked in the Associated Press top 25 - No. 12 UCLA, No. 18 Oklahoma State, No. 19 USC and No. 23 Boise State. Oregon is 16-9 against ranked opponents under HC Dan Lanning after its Week 4 win at USC, when the Trojans were ranked No. 12 in the AP poll.Â
Owning Third Down
Oregon has been among the nation's best teams on third down this season, ranking 10th in total third-down efficiency rating at 20.13. The Ducks own college football's second-best defense on third down entering Week 7 with just a 22.06 conversion percentage allowed. Success on third down has become a trend for Oregon under HC Dan Lanning, as the Ducks rank third in the country in third-down efficiency since 2023 at 14.73 while ranking eighth since 2022 at 11.68.
Home Cookin'
Oregon has been one of the most dominant teams in the nation at home over the last decade-plus. The Ducks own college football's longest active nonconference home winning streak at 40 games following its wins over Boise State and Portland State. Oregon has not lost a nonconference home game since Sept. 20, 2008 - a 37-32 loss to Boise State - and is a dominant 103-16-3 all-time in nonconference games in Autzen Stadium. UO is 103-13 at home overall since 2009, good for an .888 winning percentage that ranks fourth in college football in that stretch. Oregon is 47-3 (.940) at home since an overtime loss to Stanford on Sept. 22, 2018, a span that included 23 straight home wins to match the longest home win streak in program history. The Ducks are 56-5 at home since 2017, ranking fourth nationally with a .918 winning percentage in that span. Oregon owns a stellar 28-3 record at home since Dan Lanning took over in 2022, ranking seventh in the country with a .903 winning percentage. Â
Offense At a Glance
Entering Week 7, Oregon ranks 13th nationally in scoring offense (41.0 PPG), 25th in total offense (458.8 YPG) and seventh in passing offense (317.0 YPG) while scoring at least 30 points in four of five games and 40-plus points three times. Oregon has been forced to operate without starting QB Dante Moore for the last six-plus quarters of football after the senior went down with an injury in the second quarter at USC in Week 4 and missed Week 6 against UCLA following Oregon's bye week. The Ducks are also playing without starting WR Jeremiah McClellan, who has missed the last three games due to injury, and star TE Jamari Johnson was out for Weeks 2 and 3 with an injury.Â
» At least 30 points scored in all five games.
» 6.63 total yards per play, ranking 29th in the nation.Â
» Tied for No. 25 nationally with 32 plays of 20-plus yards; T-12 in passing plays of 20-plus yards (27).Â

The Ducks are tied for No. 8 nationally with a 95.65 percent scoring rate in the red zone, and their 78.26 percent touchdown rate in the red zone is the 12th-best in college football.Â
D Did Its Part
Despite suffering a 17-15 home loss to then-21st-ranked UCLA in Week 6, the Oregon defense kept the Ducks in the game and gave them a chance to win. UO forced three Bruin turnovers, including interceptions by ILB Jerry Mixon and DB Koi Perich. It marked Oregon's fourth consecutive game with an interception, with UO picking off eight passes in that span. Additionally, the defense produced a season-best 7.0 tackles for loss to go with two sacks and two pass breakups.
» Oregon limited the Bruins to 4-for-16 on third downs, while UO opponents have combined to go just 6-for-36 on third down over the last three games.
» The Ducks' 7.0 tackles for loss marked a season high and upped their total to 14.0 TFLs over their last three games.
» The loss snapped a streak of 45 straight wins when allowing 24 points or fewer, with the last loss coming in a 21-17 setback at California on Dec. 5, 2020.
» The 17 points allowed in defeat marked the fewest in a loss since the 2012 season, when Stanford came away with a 17-14 overtime victory on Nov. 17, 2012.
» The UO front held UCLA to 140 rushing yards on 47 carries (2.97 yards per carry), after the Bruins entered Week 6 leading the nation at 6.95 yards per carry while ranking fourth with 281.5 rushing yards per game.
» With two sacks of UCLA quarterbacks, the Ducks have now turned in three straight games with multiple sacks and have recorded multiple quarterback sacks in four of five games this season.
Game Wrecker
Oregon boasts one of the nation's top pass rushers in senior OLB Matayo Uiagalelei, who enters Week 7 as the Big Ten co-leader in sacks with 5.0 while tying for eighth nationally. Uiagalelei has been a mainstay in Oregon's defense since breaking out with a career-high 10.5 sacks and 12.5 tackles for loss in 2024, and he is tied for fifth in program history with 23.5 career sacks across 47 games (32 starts). Uiagalelei opened his senior season with a career-high eight tackles, 1.5 TFLs and a sack vs. Boise State and has a sack in four of the first five games and each of the last three, after tying his career high with 2.0 sacks in Week 6 against UCLA. Uiagalalei also made an impact on special teams vs. the Bruins with a blocked field goal, the second of his career.
Ettridge Flipping The Field
P Bailey Ettridge has been terrific in his first five games as Oregon's starting punter, ranking eighth among FBS punters with at least 15 attempts with a 48.2-yard average. Ettridge has punted 17 times for 820 yards with six punts of 50-plus yards and seven punts pinned inside the 20-yard line, and only one of his 17 attempts has resulted in a touchback. Three of Ettridge's five punts in Week 2 at Oklahoma State went for more than 50 yards, including a career-long 67-yard punt that was the 10th-longest in Oregon history. Ettridge matched that mark in Week 6 with a 67-yarder against UCLA, becoming the first punter in program history to have multiple punts of 65-plus yards in the same season.Â
» Named the Ray Guy Award Punter of the Week for his performance against UCLA in Week 6.Â
» Punted six times with a 48.17-yard average against UCLA, including his 67-yarder that pinned the Bruins at their own 2-yard line.
» Fifth punter in Oregon history to have multiple 65-plus yard punts in UO career.Â
» One of five FBS punters this season with multiple punts of 65-plus yards, and the only in the Big Ten.
