10/06/24 | Cross Country, Football, Softball, Women's Soccer, Women's Volleyball
Five different programs are competing at home this week, in some of the most high-profile matchups on their fall schedules.
We're calling it a "Mighty Big Week" coming up around Eugene-Springfield.
Oregon volleyball's match Wednesday will kick off a span of five days in which five UO programs play at home. Included are some of the most high-profile matchups of their respective schedules.
The biggest spotlight will shine Saturday on Autzen Stadium, where the No. 3 Oregon football team will host No. 2 Ohio State in the first meeting of top-five teams in Autzen Stadium history. The matchup has major Big Ten championship and College Football Playoff implications, and ESPN's "College GameDay" will be produced on-site in recognition of the game's significance.

Oregon soccer, cross country and softball also will be in action around Eugene-Springfield, making this a "Mighty Big Week" indeed.
It all starts Wednesday at Matthew Knight Arena, where the No. 11 Oregon volleyball team hosts USC. The match will be televised by Big Ten Network and begins at 6 p.m., with fans in attendance encouraged to participate in a "White Out" of the arena. (Buy tickets)
Prior to the match, Gerlinger Hall on the University of Oregon campus will host a blood drive from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Fans are encouraged to contribute as part of the Big Ten's "We Give Blood" drive in partnership with Abbott.

On Thursday, the UO soccer team kicks off its final home weekend of the year by hosting Michigan State. The unbeaten Spartans were ranked No. 1 a week ago, and are currently ranked No. 5 in the country. (Buy tickets)
First touch is at 6:30 p.m., and Big Ten Network will carry the game. It's the soccer team's "Pink Game" in support of the fight against cancer, and the team's pregame warmup shirts will be raffled off to fans in attendance.
Friday brings the cross country team's Bill Dellinger Invitational, at Pine Ridge Golf Club in Springfield. The men's race begins at 11:15 a.m., followed by the women's race at noon. On campus, the blood drive will continue.

Festivities around the football game Saturday begin bright and early, with "College GameDay" broadcasting from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. The production will again be based on the Memorial Quad on campus, and you can click here for more details.
The Nissan Heisman House will be based on the Riverfront Fields on the path from campus to Autzen Stadium, with Oregon's first ever Heisman Trophy finalist, Joey Harrington, making an appearance. The Heisman House, hosted by TV personality Matt James, will be open from noon to 4 p.m.
The Moshofsky Center Fan Zone opens at 1:30 p.m., and the stadium bowl will open at 3 p.m. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m., with NBC providing television coverage. (Buy tickets)

The "Mighty Big Week" wraps up Sunday, when the volleyball and soccer teams return to action and UO softball opens its fall exhibition schedule.
