Fall Season Kicks Off at Duck Invitational

EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon women's tennis team is set for its first event of the fall season, as the Ducks will welcome Gonzaga, Portland and Washington State to the Student Tennis Center for the three-day Duck Invitational starting Friday.

Competition will begin at 9:30 a.m. each day, with two rounds of doubles and one round of singles play on Friday. Saturday will feature a round of doubles followed by a round of singles, while Sunday will feature just one round of singles play.

The Duck Invitational marks the first fall event for ninth-year head coach Courtney Nagle's squad. The 2026-27 edition of the team features eight returners to pair with freshman Montserrat Baruqui. Five of the nine Ducks on the roster are either juniors or seniors, including lone senior Tilde Jagare.

Jagare was named all-Big Ten second team last season, playing every match at the No. 1 spot in the Ducks' lineup for the first time in her career. The Sweden native turned in a 10-8 dual singles record, knocking off two ranked opponents during Big Ten play.

Junior Bridget Mihulka paced UO with her 13 singles wins during the spring dual season, going 13-4 at the No. 6 position in the lineup. Junior Patsy Daughters turned in a 9-6 singles mark last spring while sophomores Virginia Crocker and Hinata Furutani each produced eight dual singles win at the Nos. 3 and 5 spots in the lineup, respectfully.

Weather permitting, matches will be played on the outdoor courts. Any matches played indoors will have a free live stream available through GoDucks.com. All Oregon tennis matches are free and open to the public at the Student Tennis Center.
