Ducks Host LIU in Friday’s Home Opener

First serve of the 2026 home opener is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Matthew Knight Arena.
EUGENE, Ore. — After three road matches to start its season, the No. 25 Oregon volleyball team is back on its home floor this weekend beginning Friday against Long Island. The match starts at 6 p.m. and will be streamed on B1G+.
Single-match and season tickets are currently on sale. The Ducks' home weekend also features a Sunday match against Washington State (12 p.m., BTN).
Oregon brings a 3-0 record into Friday's home opener on the heels of a midweek victory over Missouri in the Allstate Big Ten/SEC Challenge. The team dropped the opening set but rallied for the four-set victory behind a .339 hitting percentage. Fifth-year setter Marina Crownover dished out 48 assists and added 11 digs to complete her first double-double of the season.
Entering Thursday's slate of matches, Oregon leads the Big Ten with a .359 team hitting percentage.
Oregon and Long Island will be meeting for just the third time, and for the first time since 2015. Current assistant coach Lauren Page was a UO freshman that year and had six kills and three blocks against LIU. Friday will be the first time the teams are meeting in Eugene. The Ducks lead the brief series history, 2-0.
Senior Valentina Vaulet and sophomore Alanah Clemente lead Oregon with 44 and 30 kills, respectively, followed by freshman Laura Eichert (23 kills) and junior newcomer Dalia Virlan (21) in the middle. During the Missouri win, Vaulet reached 1,000 career kills between her time at Michigan (2023-24) and Oregon.
Eichert tallied her first career double-double against the Tigers with 15 kills and 13 digs to go along with three blocks.
