No. 23 Oregon takes an 8-1 record into Sunday’s rivalry matchup at MKA.
EUGENE, Ore. — The No. 23 Oregon volleyball team hosts in-state rival Oregon State Sunday to close out its non-conference schedule. First serve is set for 1 p.m. at Matthew Knight Arena; doors open at noon.

Series History: Oregon vs Oregon State
Oregon has won 34 of the past 38 meetings in the series dating back to 2006 season including 11 in a row against the Beavers. The Ducks own a 44-13 advantage in matches played in Eugene, and hold an 88-44-1 lead in the all-time series.

Last Time vs Oregon State
The Ducks lost the opening set but rallied for a 3-1 win last season in Corvallis. Then-freshman Alanah Clemente led all players with 17 kills followed by Valentina Vaulet who had 13; each also had two aces. The result doubled as the 100th career victory for head coach Trent Kersten.

Killing It
Oregon entered the week ranked second in the Big Ten and 14th nationally with 14.28 kills per set. The Ducks have at least 15 kills in 19 of the 32 sets played this year including a season-high 19 in the fourth set of the team's win against Washington State (Sept. 16). Individually, senior outside Valentina Vaulet leads UO with 117 kills (3.66 k/s).

Last Time Out
Sjakkie Donkers and Valentina Vaulet had 12 and 10 kills, respectively, in Oregon's home sweep over Portland State. The Ducks rallied from a 17-13 deficit in the first set with the help of an 8-0 surge with Donkers at the service line. Alanah Clemente and Iva Sucurovic tied for the match high at four blocks and libero Reese Sheppard led the team with 14 digs.

Oregon opens conference play next week at sixth-ranked Wisconsin and No. 14 Minnesota. The Ducks' Big Ten home opener is Friday, Oct. 2, against Purdue (Green Out) followed by an Oct. 4 matchup with Illinois.
