EUGENE, Ore. – Junior base and tumbler Ashlyn Parlett has been named the NCATA Athlete of the Week after leading Oregon to its second win of the season against No. 3 ranked Quinnipiac.
Parlett competed in 10 heats and the team event last Saturday, helping the Ducks defeat the Bobcats in a 270.640-265.425 win at Matthew Knight Arena. The Napa, Calif., native contributed six scores of 9.50 or higher, including a 9.85 in the open pyramid heat.
Parlett took the mat with Shea Barnes, Kamryn Horiuchi, Charlotte Lippa and Emily Rezner and joined Selah Bell, Molly Dahlager, Makenna Guidish, Angelica Martin and Blessyn McMorris to earn a perfect 10 in the compulsory toss heat. The side-by-side precision of the two groups resulted in the program's first 10.0 in the toss since 2020.
This marks the first weekly awards for Parlett, who was an academic all-Big Ten selection last spring after helping the Ducks average 9.756 in the compulsory toss during the 2026 season.
Cassidy Cu received an honorable mention nod for Specialist of the Week after competing in four heats for the Ducks and helping Oregon to a new season-best 92.29 in the team event. The sophomore top was a 2025 NCATA Academic Honor Roll selection and averaged 9.793 in five-element acro last season, qualifying for the individual event finals with Angelica Martin.
The Ducks return to action on Saturday, when they travel to Waco, Texas, for a top-two matchup with the Baylor Bears.
