NCATA Unveils Schedule for Historic 2027 Acrobatics and Tumbling Season
10/16/26 | Acrobatics & Tumbling
EUGENE, Ore. – The National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) has announced the full 2027 season schedule, with Oregon's slate featuring six regular-season meets, including three at home.Â
The 2027 season ushers in a new era for acrobatics & tumbling following the NCAA's decision in January 2026 to grant the sport championship status. The historic move sets the stage for the first NCAA Acrobatics & Tumbling National Championship this spring.Â
"We have another exciting season ahead of us with the largest roster in program history, featuring 17 freshmen and 31 returners," said head coach Taylor Susnara. "We have a ton of depth and will hit the ground running with our season opener against Quinnipiac. It will be a big test for us, but we're eager to take on the challenge. We're also excited to welcome some new opponents to our home floor this year as we work toward our ultimate goal of competing in the inaugural NCAA National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Championship."
The Ducks will open the season on the road against Quinnipiac on Feb. 14 in a rematch of last season's national semifinals.Â
Oregon will then return to Matthew Knight Arena for a three-meet homestand, beginning Feb. 27 against reigning national champion Baylor. The Bears are the Ducks' most frequent opponent, with the two programs meeting 43 times since 2011.Â
The Ducks will round out their homestand with meets against La Salle on March 7 and LIU on March 14, marking Oregon's first-ever meeting with both programs.Â
Oregon will wrap up March with a trip to Azusa Pacific on March 24. The Ducks hold a 22-2 all-time record against the Cougars, including victories in four of their last five meetings.Â
The Ducks will finish the regular season on April 3 in Waco, Texas, where they will face Baylor for the second time in 2027.Â
The inaugural NCAA Acrobatics & Tumbling Championship is set for April 22-25, with the host site to be announced at a later date.Â
In 2026, the Ducks finished 5-2 in the regular season during Susnara's fifth year at the helm, earning three victories over top-10 opponents. Oregon advanced to at least the NCATA semifinals for the fourth consecutive season and claimed three individual event titles, winning championships in duo, trio and aerial tumbling.Â
Tickets for the upcoming season will go on sale in early 2027.Â
