EUGENE, Ore. — The Oregon football team will open in the top 10 of the Associated Press poll for the second consecutive season after coming at No. 7 in preseason rankings on Monday morning.
The Ducks also debuted at No. 7 in the preseason US LBM Coaches Poll released last week.
It is the first time since 2015 that Oregon has been in the top 10 of the AP poll in consecutive seasons, after coming in at No. 3 in the 2024 preseason poll. UO opened in the top 10 in five straight seasons from 2011 to 2015.
The Ducks have now opened in the top 25 of the AP poll in each of the last eight seasons.
Oregon is coming off a historic 2024 season that was headlined by a Big Ten Championship in the program's first year in the conference. The Ducks went a perfect 12-0 in the regular season before defeating Penn State in the Big Ten Championship Game and earning the No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoff. UO fell to eventual national champion Ohio State in the CFP Quarterfinal at the Rose Bowl Game.
The Ducks will open the 2025 season at home against Montana State on Saturday, Aug. 30 (1:00 p.m. PT, Big Ten Network).
Single-game tickets for the 2025 season are on sale now.
