Whittington Named To Paul Hornung Award Watch List

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Oregon running back Noah Whittington has been named to the preseason watch list for the 2025 Paul Hornung Award presented by Texas Roadhouse. The Paul Hornung Award is presented annually to the nation's most versatile player.
Whittington enters his fourth season with the Ducks in 2025, playing in all 14 games in 2024 after missing much of 2023 due to injury. The redshirt senior rushed 118 times for 540 yards and six touchdowns in 2024 while also catching 24 passes for 136 yards and two scores. Whittington was also Oregon's primary kickoff returner, running back eight kicks for 232 yards with a long return of 100 yards against Boise State.
Whittington has played in 31 total games across three seasons with the Ducks, rushing 277 times for 1,465 yards and 13 touchdowns. He has also caught 56 passes for 383 yards and three scores.
Whittington and the Ducks opened fall practice on Wednesday in preparation for the 2025 season, which opens at home against Montana State on Saturday, Aug. 30 (1:00 p.m. PT, Big Ten Network).
