
Ducks Fall to No. 25 UCLA

EUGENE, Ore. - The Oregon men's tennis team came up short against No. 25 ranked UCLA in their return to Eugene on Friday.
Oregon earned the doubles point, claiming victories from Quinn Vandecasteele and Matthew Burton on court one and Lenn Luemkemann and Ray Lo on court two.
UCLA won the first three singles matches with Vlad Breazu, Luemkemann and Avi Shugar falling on courts two, four and six.
Vandecasteele won his first set 6-3, but No. 22 Govind Nanda of the Bruins won the second 6-1. Vandecasteele came back to win the third set 6-1, defeating Govin to keep the Ducks alive.
On court five, Lo earned a 6-4, 7-4 win over Gianluca Balotta, bringing the match score to three all. Burton split his first sets with Giacomo Revelli 6-4, 4-6. Burton fell 3-6 in the third set, giving UCLA the match.
The UO men will return to the Student Tennis Center at 12 p.m. on Sunday to face the USC Trojans.
