EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon lacrosse opens Pac-12 play against California on Saturday at Papé Field. The Ducks are looking to keep their perfect record at home and are seeking their best eight-game start in program history.

BRING ON THE PAC
After going 6-1 in its nonconference schedule Oregon prepares for its first Pac-12 game of the season when they welcome California on Saturday at Papé Field. The Ducks lead the all-time series with the Golden Bears, 17-12, but California has won each of the last three meetings by an average margin of just 1.33 goals. A win on Saturday would give Oregon its best eight-game start in program history.
QUACK ATTACK
Oregon's attack has been in good form to begin the season, averaging 15.86 goals per game which leads the Pac-12 and is top 20 nationally. The Ducks are firing 36.00 shots per game (sixth nationally) and are putting an average of 26.43 shots on target (sixth nationally). Lauren Rismani (25), Anna Simmons (27) and Morgan McCarthy (28) are each among the top 10 in the Pac-12 for points.
Senior midfielder Morgan McCarthy continues to be a leading presence for Oregon after being named an All-Pac-12 second-team selection for a second consecutive season in 2023. McCarthy led Oregon with career-highs in goals (37) and points (40) and looks primed for another impressive year with 13 goals in five games thus far.
Sophomore midfielder Anna Simmons has been on a tear to open the season for Oregon. The youngest of the Ducks' six team captains has scored a team-high 23 goals in six games, crushing her season total of eight in 2023. Simmons' goal total is tied for second in the Pac-12.
Oregon attacker Lauren Rismani has been a prolific facilitator for Oregon this season, logging a team-high 16 assists that ranks second among Pac-12 players. After scoring 13 goals in 2023, the junior has already netted nine through seven games this season and is third on the team with 25 points.
