
Ducks Fly East For Road Trip

EUGENE, Ore. – It will be a matchup of undefeated teams when Oregon lacrosse faces Rider on Friday at 12 p.m. PT in the Ducks' first road game of the 2024 season. This is the first of two games in New Jersey for Oregon, which turns around to take on No. 22 Rutgers on Sunday.

DUCKS HIT THE ROAD
After improving to 3-0 for the first time since 2018 thanks to a successful season-opening homestand, Oregon hits the road for two matches. Rider - a first-year program - is off to its own 3-0 start, including a 19-13 victory over Saint Francis whom the Ducks beat 17-7 in Eugene on Feb. 16.
DUCKS AMONG THE BEST
Oregon has been dominant on both sides of the ball this season, scoring goals at a high clip while limiting opponents around their own net. The Ducks lead the Pac-12 in scoring, averaging 17.33 goals per game which ranks ninth nationally. Defensively, UO is holding opponents to an 8.00 goals against average, which also leads the Pac-12 and is tied for 13th in the country.
SOPHOMORE STUD
Sophomore midfielder Anna Simmons has been on a tear to open the season for Oregon. The youngest of the Ducks' six team captains has scored 14 goals through three games, crushing her season total of eight in 2023. Simmons' goal total is tied for second in the Pac-12 and her 17 points is tied for third in the league.
DRAW CONTROLLER
Oregon midfielder Rachel Pallo has made history by breaking the program's single-game draw control record in back-to-back games, recording 11 against Saint Francis (Feb. 16) and reeling in 12 against Marist (Feb. 25). Pallo has dominated the draw control this season, totaling 28 to lead the Ducks in the category. The sophomore is averaging 9.33 draw controls in 2024, good for fifth nationally.
SENSATIONAL SENIOR
Senior midfielder Morgan McCarthy continues to be a leading presence for Oregon after becoming the first Duck to be named to the Pac-12 All-Tournament Team in back-to-back seasons as a junior. McCarthy was also named an All-Pac-12 second-team selection for a second-consecutive season after leading Oregon with career-highs in goals (37) and points (40).
