
Oregon Finishes Duck Invitational with Strong Singles Showing

EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon women's tennis team finished the three-day Duck Invitational with a strong day in singles, winning four of five singles matches Sunday at the Student Tennis Center.
Tilde Jagare, Olivia Symons, Julia Visaya and Karin Young each won in straight sets to finish off their only home tournament during the fall. Symons completed a 3-0 singles weekend, while also going 2-1 in doubles over the event's first two days.
Jagare, Symons and Young each matched up against players from Seattle. Symons handled Daria Nzarenko 6-0, 6-2, while Young cruised 6-0, 6-0 over Larissa Teramura. Jagare earned a 6-3, 6-3 win over Natalia Michta.
Visaya faced Chenyue Xu from Idaho, coming away with a 6-4, 6-1 victory for her second singles win of the weekend.
Jagare went 2-1 in singles while also winning two of her three doubles matches with Symons. Visaya posted a 2-1 singles mark while going unbeaten in three doubles matches while paired with Young, while Young earned her first singles win of the weekend on Sunday.
On the weekend, the Ducks combined to go 8-1 in doubles with an 11-6 in singles mark. Symons now leads the team with six singles victories this fall (6-2).
The Duck Invitational marked the final fall event for Oregon. The Ducks will begin their spring dual campaign in January, with their full schedule to be released at a later date.
