Three-Meet Week Starts Thursday at Cal

This week's schedule features the Brutus Hamilton Multis, Triton Invitational and Jenn Boyman Memorial Invitational.
EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon track and field team will have entries at three meets—Brutus Hamilton Multis, Triton Invitational and Jenn Boyman Memorial Invitational—this week.
Brutus Hamilton Multis (Berkeley, Calif.) | April 6-7

The busy weekend gets going Thursday with the season's first go at the combined events. Gianna Bullock and Colleen Uzoekwe are entered in the heptathlon with Arthur Katahdin and Nathan Poff scheduled for the decathlon.
Uzoekwe has established lifetime bests in the 200 meters and javelin this season in addition to an outdoor best in the shot put. She will look to improve on her PB of 4,752 points from the Bryan Clay Invitational last season. Bullock set her lifetime best of 5,045 points at the same meet.
Poff finished sixth at the 2022 Pac-12 Championships in the decathlon and recorded a best of 7,318 points last season. Katahdin has competed in the pole vault in his first two meets of the season and carries a decathlon best of 6,665 points into the weekend.
Taylor Choeck and Raphael Raap are scheduled to open their multis season in one week's time at the Mt. SAC Relays.
Triton Invitational (La Jolla, Calif.) | April 7-8

The two-day Triton Invitational begins Friday and will feature the Ducks' throws crew with two-time NCAA champion and collegiate-record holder Jorinde Van Klinken (discus) making her season debut. She'll be joined in the event by Mine De Klerk, Shelby Moran and Jaida Ross. The invitational section starts Friday at 1:30 p.m.
Day one of the Triton meet will also include Moran in the hammer where she currently ranks third among Pac-12 competitors and 12th in the NCAA. She threw a season's best of 64.42m/211-4 at the Oregon Preview (March 18).
Mason Strunk is entered in the men's hammer which is scheduled for Saturday at 9:30 a.m. He has a season-best mark of 63.94m/209-9 from last week's Stanford Invitational and enters the meet ranked ninth in the conference.
Ross leads the Pac-12 in the shot put and is sixth in the NCAA with her toss of 17.29m/56-8.75 from Stanford. The Medford, Ore., native owns a lifetime best of 17.83m/58-6 from the 2022 NCAA meet where she finished in fifth place. Ross and De Klerk will take on the shot Saturday afternoon.
Jenn Boyman Memorial Invitational (McMinnville, Ore.) | April 8

The pole vault crew will be in action Saturday beginning with the women at 11 a.m. Freshman Isabella Nilsen is ranked among the top 10 in the Pac-12 with a mark of 3.95m/12-11.5 at the Oregon Preview (March 18). That marks also made her the No. 10 performer in program history. Emily Fitzsimmons will also be competing.
On the men's side, freshman Hunter Angove carries a season-best clearance of 5.05m/16-6.75 from the Aztec Invitational. He and J Kai Yamafuji (4.95m/16-2.75) are ranked sixth and ninth, respectively, in the conference. The field will also include sophomore Harrison Canfield.
