2022-23: Indoor – cleared 4.78m/15-8.25 in collegiate debut at the Cougar Classic, finished in fourth overall…first 16-foot clearance of his career came at the Don Kirby Invitational (Feb. 10); got over the bar set at 4.89m/16-0.5 to finish fifth overall…improved indoor best to 5.03m/16-6 two weeks later at the Ken Shannon Invitational. Outdoor – tied for the highest clearance (4.95m/16-2.75) at the Oregon Twilight but took the win over teammate J Kai Yamafuji with fewer misses…established a lifetime best with a clearance of 5.05m/16-6.75 at the Aztec Invitational (March 25), finished sixth…secured top-five finishes at the Boyman Memorial Invitational and Desert Heat Classic…placed 13th with a clearance of 4.82m/15-9.75 in Pac-12 Championships debut.
Before Oregon: 2022 Nike Outdoor Nationals champion…two-time Oregon 2A state champion in the pole vault for Bandon HS…also finished eighth at the state meet with the BHS 4x400-meter relay…prep-best clearance of 15-6.25 in winning the 2022 Nike Outdoor Nationals title…entered the meet with a previous best of 15-0.25…three-time district champion…finished fourth (14-7.25) at the 2022 USATF National Junior Olympics.
