Ducks Wrap Up Homestand This Weekend

EUGENE, Ore. – Winners of three straight, Oregon finishes a five-match homestand this weekend by hosting a pair of Mountain West Conference squads in Boise State Friday (1 p.m. PT) and Fresno State on Saturday (12 p.m. PT) at the Student Tennis Center.

The Ducks extended their winning streak and remained undefeated at home with a 4-1 win over Iowa last Friday and a 5-2 victory over Saint Mary's on Sunday.
Oregon has clinched the doubles point in five of seven matches this season, including each of the last three outings, and boast a combined 11-5 team doubles record. The duo of Jo-Yee Chan and Ares Teixido Garcia are a perfect 5-0 playing together this spring, with four wins at the No. 2 position.
The Ducks' top doubles tandem of Sophie Luescher and Uxia Martinez Moral has won three consecutive matches and are 4-2 in the dual season.
On the singles side, Martinez Moral and Teixido Garcia each have a team-leading five victories and are both riding three-match winning streaks. Chan, a freshman, has also won three consecutive matches and is 4-1 during her first collegiate campaign.
Luescher is 2-1 and has played all seven matches at the top of the Ducks' singles lineup. Karin Young, splitting time between Nos. 3 and 4, is 3-2 following a straight-set win against Saint Mary's last Sunday.
Fresno State won the regular-season Mountain West title, going 10-0 in conference play before falling in the MWC tournament. The Bulldogs have won two of their last three matches after defeating Cal Poly 5-2 in their last outing.
Boise State opened the season 3-0 and has won back-to-back matches, taking down UTEP (6-1) and College of Idaho (7-0) in its last two matches.
The Ducks are 6-5 all-time against Fresno State and have won the last four meetings, the last being a 4-3 decision on Feb. 29, 2020. UO holds a 9-3 edge over BSU with the last matchup coming during the 2017 season. Oregon has won its last two matches with the Broncos.
